Sound quality on hand set and speaker feature are both good. Does what I need it to do. Not positive that we are doing the call blocking correctly, as it isn't registering that there are any Blocked Calls - although we have used it on several spam calls. Had to upgrade the phones for the small business. These do work great! The only issue is the corded phone does not have a good clear speaker phone. The people I am talking to can nut hear me so I have to pick up the phone. The remotes do not seem to have this issue.

I purchased this for my mother-in-law for Christmas, because she still wants an answering machine. it was not particularly easy to set up, but it does do the job. Neither one of the cordless phones hold a charge very long, but the sound quality is fine. I have to say it’s just average.

This phone replaced a 30 year old Panasonic phone . The new phone set does all the usual things like record messages and provide Call ID (if you pay your phone company for the option). It also has a Call Block button that I love. We were getting up to 22 scam calls a day and now only receive 2-3 daily scam calls. Another thing I like about the phone is the fact that the phone voice is loud and clear so that when you check on messages the response is easy to understand. Last year we purchased a phone set that we had to junk because it was impossible to understand the messages when replayed back. ... show more

    • Batteries DO NOT RECHARGE in the handsets you need to buy a charger and SPECIAL AAA batteries.
This is nonsense. Have had this phone for 6 months. With 3 additional handhelds. Now just barely 6 months later I find out that the batteries in the hand held devices DO NOT RECHARGE in the bases like you would assume they would. So, only the corded phone actually works. I've owned many many Panasonic phones and always been happy. Why would the new and improved version not only NOT charge the stinking batteries in the handheld portions but, now it appears that in order to charge the batteries I need to buy YET ONE MORE thing - A flipping battery charger. This is nonsense. Oh and btw - I had already tried buying new batteries because what should be a simple AAA is NOT, you can't find in stores... And that is also not clear on the description of the product... Way to jam up landfills with more wasted nonsense. So, here's me now ordering a flipping charger and only have one phone in the stinking house until it arrives. Not Cool ... I'd say pass this one by if you can find another option this is silliness... ... show more
