Just finished assembling it so of course I can't offer any thoughts on how well it will hold up to heavy weather. Instead, I will focus on assembly. Overall easy to build. To be honest, I would rather build three of these greenhouses rather than one of the doors! Hated the door - fought me all the way and is still not perfect. But it is done and functional (with one "Bob" add on part - a cross brace that I'll mention later). I chose to build on ground contact pressure treated 2x6's and screwed the frame to the lumber. I then used loam inside and around the outside for a little more anchoring. I have ground anchors that I will install later this week. To be honest I more fear panels blowing out than I do the whole thing flying away. Follow the instructions step for step, use a level and a square, and take your time. I did it over maybe 4 days, a couple of hours each day so maybe 8 hours total. I will add that I did it alone. I can see where a second person would be nice but I don't feel that it's really necessary. You will need some brute force here and there - most of the holes lined up well but sometimes a little muscle was needed to get that last 1/16th of an inch. Nothing outrageous, just a little persuasion. The only holes that flat-out never worked were the door hinge holes - absolutely had to run a drill through them to open them up enough for the screws. I suspect the holes are drilled to size before galvanizing and the coating was just thick enough to prevent the screws from going in. The door almost broke me! Assembly was a nightmare for me - this is the one area where a second person would pay off to hold one side while working the other; panels kept sliding out every time I moved a single piece! But I got it and it was done. But then upon installation, the door had a diagonal sag that is really annoying. I bought a 48" piece of 3/4" x 1/16" thick metal and installed it as a cross brace on the top panel. I used the tee-bolts that come with the kit in the frame so no drilling of the door required. But since it was an afterthought, I did have to remove the top cap of the door to insert the tee-bolts into the channel in the frame, The strap worked. (*Pic now included) The other complaint I have is the vent window. I did not get the auto option but I am not sure if that would have mattered. I just don't like the way the window connects/"hinges" to the greenhouse. I think I need to get up higher and have a better look at the intersection of the tow pieces later today because I must be missing something here. No big deal, just something I am not thrilled with. Shelves are due to arrive Monday so I'll add them in. I plan to install flagstone, or something similar, down the center and then maybe use mulch for the floor...we'll see and I will update once I finish it all. Overall - a great value for the money and not that hard to assemble. It is May here now so a little late for greenhouse season but I am sure she'll be using it a lot. I will update periodically.

July 2023: I don't write many reviews anymore, but I wanted to help my fellow gardeners out. I researched the heck out of which greenhouse kit to buy, and settled on the Mythos because of the double-wall construction. That being said, these molded panels look and feel very flimsy. Like many others said, just put it together. It does get a lot sturdier once you're all done with construction - AND the anchor kit. Do not skip the anchor kit. My husband planned to do his own thing with anchors and realized that the kit comes with pieces that fit into the frame. It just made sense to use what was manufactured for the greenhouse. My base is a six-inch deep and four-inch wide concrete footing with a 4x4 wood frame bolted to that. I figure if this thing ever comes up off the base, we will have bigger problems than the greenhouse! My floor consists of concrete pavers laid on a sand base. Construction was not easy and you need two people. Lay all the pieces out first. If something seems missing, look for it tucked inside of another piece. There were numerous broken plastic pieces. Palram is fantastic about sending replacements. Your base has to be level and there is no wiggle room when fitting pieces together. If they don't fit, something is off and you will have to go back a step or two and adjust. Nothing gets forced into place. If you are considering the extra louvered vent - do it. You must be able to move air in and out, and the roof opening with the door wide open is not enough on a hot day. We installed the extra louvered window upside down. It is made to go at ground level. No thank you. Any number of critters could crawl in there. There is no screen, so you basically have a two-foot square hole in the side - at ground level if you follow the directions. Note on the vent/flap in the roof. Many people said it flies off at the slightest breeze. They must not have put it on correctly. It is actually pretty sturdy. So far, we have had 25-30 mph gusts and it does just fine. I had no idea what a greenhouse entailed until I bought one. Unless you plan to do very little in it, you will need electricity and water. I have the 6' x 8' constructed with the back end against my house. My setup now has five (GFI protected) outlets and a water faucet all inside. I am currently setting up grow lights, mist system, heating mats, and a heatsink. My heatsink is a 32 gallon trash can with an aquarium heater. It's probably not enough, but my goal is to avoid the added cost of running a heater all winter. Time will tell. I live in USDA zone 7b; temps range from 13°F to 100°F. I will update this review periodically and hope it helps. Reasons for only 4 stars: A split door would have been better. The extra side louvered window should not be a ground level IMHO. The anchor kit should be included, since not using it voids the warranty. Broken pieces were annoying because we had to wait for shipping. Palram is fantastic and ships right away, but quality control needs some improvement.

Purchased this for my wife. As other reviewers stated it will take two days to assemble and will require two people at times. It seemed kind of flimsy as I was setting it up but once everything was assembled it was much stronger. The panels look and feel like corrugated opaque card board but they do work. This will get really hot in the summer time in direct sunlight so we used it to store pots and garden stuff - but now in the Fall it keeps warm and is working nicely. Only issues i had was two of the rear wall panels did not fit and i had to cut off a bit length wise to fit them in the slots - had same issue with one of the roof panels. I was missing two of the 6 inch plastic spacer pieces that go on the roof panel but went a head and completed the roof and contacted the company help support and they sent them right away- I removed and installed them on the panels once I got them. The two pieces used to join the top and bottom parts for the left and right door frames would not slide in smoothly - i had to mark where the screw holes were and pound it in with a mallet being careful to not bend it or crush the top, Poly-Tex needs to work on this and make it easier. Some TIPS - make sure your base is square, you may want to secure it first. I spent about an hour familiarizing myself with the parts and grouping pieces together and laying them out in the patio. other reviewers stated that the panels would fall out in high wind or snow - I bought the thinnest Z-flashing (used for siding) and used existing holes in the frame (i drilled some new in the center supports) then bolted it on the inside for both sides, the rear wall, and across both sides of the roof - now there is not much bending inwards when there is high wind, hail, or snow - poly-max should look into this too. We had a freak micro T-storm blow in a week after i added my supports and it worked great - we had really high wind and lots of hail and rain. After you initially set it up go back and retighten all the little bolts - i used a ratchet. Overall - it is working out very well and most important is that my wife really likes it.

The only thing good about this greenhouse was while it was standing it was nice looking. I purchased it in early Feb. waited until early March to put it up and by mid-March it was scrap. The description says 97.2" x 72.8" x 81.9" I had also purchased several raised beds to put inside the greenhouse and was only able to use 2 4’ sections so only had 3/4th the growing space I anticipated. Putting it together was a nightmare, took me roughly 12 hours mostly by myself several pieces lacked the part number and it took to much time finding the correct part just based from the pictures. The lack of actual instructions also prolonged the assembly time. The only reason I was able to complete the greenhouse was that duplicate pieces were provided, the bag was full of broken black bits from decorative finishing pieces. A few of the metal pieces were also slightly bent but I was able to straightened them out. Once it was finally built we had a storm with 50 mph winds the only reason it remained semi standing is that I braced it with bungee cords, bags of soil and cinder blocks even though I had the base anchored. Several of the bracing pieces were bent completely out of shape and some of the panels folded up and ended up creased. The greenhouse is now history due to 90+ mph winds from the last winter storm March 2019. I now have over 500 bucks worth of scrap metal and creased polycarbonate panels. I would not recommend this product and if I could give less then 1 star I would.

Instructions aren't just bas, they are terrible. With one minor exception, there are no words, just pictures. Often it's not clear from the picture whether you are looking at a part from the front or the back. This slows the assembly time way down. Obviously, the company's designers favorite toy was an erector set, so if you never had one or didn't enjoy playing with it, you may want to pass . The package arrived in one big box that had a damaged corner. The box appeared to be too small for the contents because the top of the box didn't fit all the way to the bottom. When I opened it the aluminum was all jumbled together in no particular order. Much of the aluminum was scratched. Was this a return that the company repacked or just a poor job of packing? One corner of a polycarbonate sheet was slightly damaged where the box had been crushed. My first reaction was to return it, but I had waited several weeks to get it and I wanted to get on with this project. I started by cataloging all the pieces to insure I had everything. I took me 3 hours to do that. Why? Well, first there are a lot of pieces. Second, the pictures and quantities of the parts were put together in the manual in random, rather than numerical, order. So page 1 has part numbers ranging like 996, 7312, 992, 981. etc. There are 4 pages with pictures of random part numbers. So you pick a part out of the box and search for the number. Sometimes there is a small white sticker with the number, other parts had the number engraved on it. Now, to find the part in your hand you had to search 4 pages of the manual. If there was more than 1 you had to either find the others in the jumble of aluminum, or set it aside while you continued to sort. I took a roll of wide masking tape, wrote the number in large letters with a marker pen, put it on the part and set it aside until I found the others. The whole process was a nightmare. I had already built a 6' x 8' plywood base for the greenhouse, which took a few days because my yard sloped and I wanted the house level. The initial assembly of the galvanized base was straightforward but attaching the middle post to the base made the whole structure rather wobblely, the base simple wasn't sturdy enough to support the post freestanding. So I temporarily clamped 2x4's the the corner post to secure everything. The angle pieces designed to keep the structure from racking are extremely light, so they are good in tension only. After assembling the 4 walls the structure seemed flimsy. I had always anticipated building my own wood shelf system inside the greenhouse. Now that I could see how this structure was designed, I did the following. There are inside tracks on the posts which the slide square head bolts into in order to fasten the whole structure together. I found that toilet bolts would fit in these slots with a little filing of the edges. Toilet bolts are 2.5 to 3" long. So at every post I could slide the bolts up the 34" and drill a hole in a 2x3 to attach it to the structure. At the corners I just drilled a hole on the aluminum flange and put my toilet bolt in there. This not only gave me support for a shelf all around, it stiffened the whole structure immensely. The whole process was slow. It took me about a week, working 6 hours a day, to assemble this kit. In the end, I do have a cute little greenhouse that looks nice. Be sure to secure the base to a foundation or this thing will be like the book, Gone With the Wind. Lastly, one thing that I did not realize was that the base creates a 4" lip that you have to step over at the door entrance. We wanted to be able to roll a wagon into it, so I cut the base out each side of the door and bolted the base to the floor. I took the piece I cut out and pop riveted it to the bottom of the door. My husband and I ( both 62) put this together with very little hassles. It is beautifully built and is very solid. Perfect size for the corner of our deck. Since we built this to sit on our deck we had no problems with it being level. I can see where if you put it on the ground, you better have a level with you at all times. We made a couple of little mistakes but our fault. It is solid and attractive. This size is perfect for what I need. It is very affordable. The instructions are good and if you are not sure what part you are doing, look on the upper right corner of the page and it shows you where on the greenhouse you are. I advise looking through the instructions to the end as there are things at the end that would be easier to do before hand. I live in northeast Pa so I will post again after the winter. I am going with black containers with water to give off heat at night that they collected during the day. Just a test!! All in all, if you pay attention to instructions( like which side you want vent on...it DOES make a difference with part on roof) you should have no problems at all. Thank you, Palram for selling an affordable beautiful greenhouse. This is an update. The wind and winter bothered this not. It has held together beautifully through the winter. High winds and snow did no damage at all. I highly recommend this greenhouse. It is sturdy and works really well.

I ordered and assembled this last fall, so I've had it over a year. I really like it. I mounted mine on a wooden 4 x 4 frame and ordered the ground anchor kit to hold it all down. I used a black tarp underneath to keep grass and weeds down and to hopefully absorb heat from the sun. I read some reviews before I ordered that talked about how hard it was to assemble, but decided to try it anyways. I'm glad I did. Assembly was pretty easy with 2 people needed for some parts, but it is not intuitive. I sorted the pieces first and followed the directions pretty closely, and it worked fine. There was one part in the directions that had the wrong part number towards the end, but if you have your parts sorted and look at the picture, it's pretty straight forward to figure out. I'm not very good or experienced with putting big projects together like this, so a few times I checked with my dad to help make sure I had the parts going the right way. Most of the time you could tell pretty easily from the pictures. I assembled mine over the course of several evenings and afternoons, but once I started going up, it was pretty much necessary to finish the main part of the structure. I had the upright metal pieces--corners and side supports--up overnight and a day and it was a good thing it wasn't any windier, as some of them started to bend. I'm pretty sure that I added the door, plastic finishing pieces, and window a few days later. Now that it's assembled, it is great! I have not had any structural problems. I sealed most of my seams with caulk. There was one place that would drip in the center top when it rained before I caulked the seams. I insulated mine with large Styrofoam packing blocks--about 1ft. square on the ends by about 2 ft.--around the bottom half. Last year I had them on the inside and used them as extra shelf space. This year, I'm trying them on the outside to gain floorspace. To keep it from freezing last year took two small electric heaters when it was the coldest--less than 10 degrees. The two together were enough to keep my tropical plants warm enough even when the temps were below 0 for a week. I also had gallon milk jugs lining the top of the Styrofoam blocks and a 55 gallon barrel full of water both to water my plants and provide thermal mass. I would say that this is not a quick, easy project if you're looking to spend a few hours putting it together. If you take your time and follow the directions, there shouldn't be a problem. I would recommend this greenhouse.

We purchased this greenhouse to house a few tomato plants in our high-altitude home, and it's done the job admirably, giving us warmer temperatures without baking the plants like the smaller, cheaper plastic sheeting unit we tried last year. Assembly: assembly was pretty easy and well documented via the picture-only instructions. Ensuring that corners and edges line up properly is important - and you don't always know just how important until later steps come along! Fortunately, the problems we encountered were relatively easily fixed. This is definitely a two-person job; I don't know that you could put the greenhouse up on your own. Build Quality: the mostly aluminium framing pieces are easily bent if mishandled. Our first unit was damaged in shipping by UPS (who detected the damage and sent the package back to Amazon before we even received it). The replacement arrived in good time, though. (Thanks, Amazon support!) During assembly, the frame feels flimsy, but as the assembly progresses, the unit's structure firms up, and once assembly is complete the unit holds up quite well. I was surprised at the light weight and compactness of the unit as shipped - I had expected something with a lot more heft. The double-wall plastic has already withstood small hail without incident; it's not really thick enough to be insulating for winter IMHO, but it's well designed for light insulation and proper diffusion of light. One other build quality comment - the manual vent window arm feels a bit flimsy; it's held up okay through wind, rain, and hail so far, but I feel like it wouldn't hold the window closed in a strong storm. I would strongly recommend the optional tie-down kit, and though I don't own it, I think the automated vent window arm would be a worthwhile upgrade.
