After measuring my hand circumference (8.25") and looking at sizing chart, I chose the large size. The fit is perfect - not too tight or too loose. I especially like the stubby finger length and I did not want extra material out near my finger tips to eliminate catching a hook on the material when rigging up any size fly. These gloves do provide great UV protection to the tops of my hands and do give good cushion when fly fishing for hours whether casting on the streams or float tubing on the lakes. These do look very durable as well. I did air them out for a few days upon receiving them to get rid of the fumigant smell used in importing them.

Item as described! I needed a glove to prevent the fish from finning me and cutting up my fingers and hand but also allow me to be able to rehook and do other things. I can now pick up the fish with confidence and not get cuts and still have my fingers free to do anything. The glove is lightweight and has the extra protection on the palm where it is needed. The tabs on the two fingers that help you pull it off are nice and look and feel like they will last ( have only used three times). There is a small area at base of the glove by the thumb area that I can feel the stitching but not enough to bug me yet. I do wish there were would have been more colors to choose from besides just the two and that you make a small as that it what I truly need. I bought the medium and it fits but needs to be a little more skin tight for preference but still fits good enough to use. The price is great! I will order another one when I can find a small. I just wear the one on my left hand that holds the fish while I take the hook out.

In all fairness, a four-star rating doesn't reflect how pleased I am with these gloves, but it's too soon to judge their durability. I have been looking for a replacement for the worn-out sailing gloves that I have been using as shooting gloves. Most fingerless sports gloves have padding built into the palms, which affects grip ergonomics (e.g. cycling gloves). These gloves are very light and comfortable, and the silicone features on the palm enhance the grip without adding bulk. I'm sure I'll wear these out faster than my sailing gloves - this is not their intended purpose - but the price is so reasonable that I already bought a back-up pair.

I purchased these to use to help me hold dog leashes for bite work for working dogs even when it is wet and the leashes that are all weather are slippery. I need them to grip, but also let go easily when I need to. These do all of that. I will buy more as soon as I wear these out. And by the way, they are not wearing out quickly. They are very durable. Just love these!

I have used a pair of these all summer (25 or 30 morning or evening trips) and they have performed admirably! My palm measurement is 8.5” and the L size fits perfectly…snug but not tight. Tried other gloves with SML sizing, but the L was not snug enough while the M was just too tight. In use, these gloves provide excellent grip, dry quickly and, remarkably, seem to lose the “fish smell” overnight. The palm material is flexible, like another skin, but very “grippy” and thick enough to provide some protection against fish spines…although I never really tested that on purpose! I liked my original pair so much that I bought two replacement pairs to have handy if, and when, the originals crap out. Highly recommend.

Buy this glove big. I was on the border between L and XL. I bought the XL. I can hardly get my hand into the wrist opening. It doesn't stretch and there is no strap to loosen. The glove, once on is a comfortable fit.
