I ordered three variations of this item......one had flowers, one was a space thing, and one was a moon. I had my 9 and 10 year old girls invite some neighborhood kids over and they all painted on our front porch. It was a super good time, and the variety of items that came with each kit made the kids really happy. Obviously, ours didn't turn out as each package said they would (we had 6 kids painting three things), but they all had fun, and that's all I wanted! Ultimately, there's a lot of leftover craft stuff that came with the kit, and we'll use it for other craft projects in the future. Super fun and a better way to spend a few hours than in front of a screen :-)

When I was ordering this, I could not see any cords or indications of the power source. It is battery operated, and the batteries come included. This means that a kid could easily use it in a fort or other play area. This is functional art, great for all ages. My 9 and 11 year old nephews love this.

I like the concept of this set. My 3rd grade daughter will be able to assemble the whole whole moon lamp, and paint it on her own without my help. It comes with all the tools (paint and brushes). Thus it builds responsibility and ownership - because she creates it, she'll appreciate it more.

This is a really cool looking craft for older kids. The finished project looks beautiful and allows them to be really creative with how they paint it. I like that it comes with all the supplies, paint, different types of brushes and even a little apron.

I got this for my 6 year old daughter to do. She loved it. The kit came with everything you need and more. I really liked how it came with an apron to cover those less then clean kids. It also comes with 4 foam stamps, 12 different paint colors and 8 paint brushes. The light itself is pretty bright

I gave one to a niece. Her cousin was so envious I had to get a second one. I would have thought boys would like a planet lamp they could paint, but now I see that girls do too. Everything is included for making a royal mess painting it including an apron. Her mother also suggests a drop cloth. The kid is not neat.
