They worked right out of the package. No programming needed. We used as a replacement remote for the Samsung 65" Class 7 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV released in 2019. I installed the two AAA batteries and that was it. I give it 5 stars because all of the buttons function as intended, it required no programming, the price, and the fact that it came with two remotes (nice to have a back u up). Highly recommend.

Remember the old days when you’d buy an aftermarket remote and then have to program it for your tv? Those days are apparently long gone now. I have several Samsung smart tv’s, ranging from just bought this year to several years old, and the remote on the newest one started to malfunction already. These aftermarket remotes only cost $9 on sale for a pair of two(2). They look like the older style Samsung remote, which I prefer, compared to the sleeker, new remotes that only have a few buttons. I put 2 AAA batteries in and they worked perfectly without any programming whatsoever! All the functions worked like on the older Samsung remotes and now we have extra remotes to meet our family’s needs. Easy to use, great functionality, and super cheap! Highly recommended.

Buttons are not always reliable. At times, there's a late response time and you end up clicking the wrong selection. Batteries are difficult to remove. Other than that, 2 for $9.99 is a good price for an extra set of remotes.

Lost my Samsung TV remote in my room, and ordered the 2 pack. The tv remote works immediately with my Samsung TV. Just heads up it doesn't come with any AAA batteries so you need to have your own. Honestly its nice, compact, and ready to go.

Works just as good as Samsung. They do feel light duty. So two will provide a backup when other fails. Regular Samsung only lasted a year until the springy thing under 3 of the press buttons began to fail. This is fourth replacement.

Just put two batteries in each remote and they are ready to use. They are already programmed to work with Samsung tv sets and are as good as the original remotes. $10 for two new remotes is hard to beat.
