This is the ONLY astringent I can find that is 2% salicylic acid, has alcohol in it AND is cruelty free. It works so well on my face and cleans off all of the oils and dirt. I had been using this product for so so long when suddenly it became hard to find. I’m willing to pay the $20 for a bottle on Amazon. Please bring it back, Pacifica. I will use the “Bacne” spray if I have to but I’d prefer to not breathe it in 🙂

Oh boy, let me tell you about this acne clearing astringent I bought with my HRA account. First of all, the name "Acne Warrior" made me feel like I was gearing up for battle against my own face. But when I applied it, I swear I could feel it going to war against my pimples. It was like my skin was Mount Doom and the astringent was Frodo, determined to destroy the ring of acne once and for all. The scent was...interesting, to say the least. It smelled like someone had mixed a bottle of rubbing alcohol with a pine tree air freshener. But hey, if it means clear skin, I'll put up with smelling like a cleaning product. I will say, though, that this astringent is not for the faint of heart. It definitely made my skin feel like it was on fire for a few minutes. But hey, no pain no gain, right? Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. My skin looks clearer than it has in ages, and I feel like I can take on the world (or at least my next breakout) with confidence. So if you're looking for an acne-fighting product that will make you feel like a warrior, give this astringent a try. Side note: I did not have acne prior to this product.

Bottom line: recommend for occasional breakouts and congested pores - Pros: no sting or itchiness from irritation when used 1x/day, very subtle fragrance, no dyes, helps keep chin sebaceous filaments and large nose pores smooth, treats hormonal breakouts, not overly drying, price, vegan and cruelty-free, salicylic acid gently exfoliates over time - Cons: might be too strong for daily use for dry and sensitive skin

I'm 45 and dealing with pores you could fall into, uneven texture, occasional breakouts, and lines (unfair). I alternate this with a retinol serum at night and have noticed my skin texture is improving. Had a little skin purge when I first started using it, but that's to be expected. It is a little drying for my aging skin, but I have been using a good hydrating moisturizer after to keep everything balanced

I didn't find this particularly worse or better than other toners and astringents. It isn't something that just completely changed my life and I would repurchase over and over. It was kind of strong for me and made my face burn a little at times. I did see a slight improvement in redness. As far as clearing all traces of makeup, I did not find that to be true. The next day I was taking off slight traces when I cleaned my face. Also I was still getting little pimples like the small witch wart I got on my nose that was really painful. For some reason I don't really remember a smell. I am out but I will probably try different products again until I find something that amazes me.

This stuff cuts through dirt, dead skin cells, and gives skin this overall “deep cleaned” feeling! My pores are smaller, I have a clear complexion (not solely due to this product but in conjunction with other products this is an added contributor) and my skin has not looked this good since high school.
