I purchased this based on a review in last year's People magazine favorite products. I use it to help eliminate acne scars. With medication and a cleanser that works, I finally rid myself (mostly) of breakouts. I tried using my Clinique lotion and it immediately made my skin breakout, so I was nervous about trying this. It did not cause any breakouts! I would use this simply as a moisturizer for that reason. It definitely has helped improve the appearance of the scarring. The bottle itself tells you to give it 3 months before seeing a change and that's pretty accurate. After all, they're scars and they won't ever fully go away, but can be evened out. I also use it on my always super dry elbows and a large dog bite scar on my leg. It has helped with both of those, too. This is an excellent product, I highly recommend it and will keep purchasing it. I usually buy the larger size, but keep a 2 oz around so I can take it on an airplane. ... show more

    • great oil for stretch marks
I've using it for a couple weeks now for my stretch marks around my hips and thighs for years. (Im in my 20s, and the stretch marks are from my growth during adolescent yrs) People have said that red or bruise like stretch marks can get better but ones that are old (white marks) dont have a chance. I have tried a couple other somewhat expensive products. They were all good moisturizers, but never did anything to stretch marks. I wasnt expecting much, but this oil worked!! I dont use it religiously as the direction suggests.. I use it about once every other day. And still, I saw a big big improvement. I think I can get rid of them completely if i use it twice a day for a couple months. So YES! I recommend it to anyone who wants to get rid of her stretch marks! one neg about it is that the bottle is so tiny. I use small amount at a time, so it would last me for a couple months i guess. but i wish it was a bit bigger and keep the price as it is. lol ... show more

    • Very hydrating oil!
Mrs. Bry-Man here: I originally ordered this hoping it would help reduce an ugly scar on one of my knuckles, but I have found it works wonders on hydrating out fine lines and the "papery" look that I had begun to see around my eyes/eyelids. I just gently pat it on around my eyes twice a day. (I'll be 50 next month, and my age is showing in my facial skin.) Can't say it's really done anything for my knuckle scar, I apply the oil to it at least twice a day, but my hands are always in and out of water so much around the house that it may not have much chance to soak in and show a change. ... show more

I've been suffering adry skin lately. I don't know why is that may be because of the dite bills I'm useing . I've used diffierent kinds of beauty products to keep my skin from dehiydration. But it was a waste of time and money. Now I'm using the Bio oil and I can see the results that i'm seeking so obvious and fast as well. Improvement starts to appear from the first week of use.     • Nice but need to be used with other products
This is great for scars and dark spots. It's a dry oil that doesn't leave a residue. It also smells good and will leave your skin smooth. This product will not automatically remove the scars or dark spots, but if you continuously use it, the scars or dark spots can become lighter or fade away a little. You should use this in combination of other products such as a whitening soap in order to get rid of the dark spots. ... show more

I just started using it again and I hope it works this time around. The first time I bought it I didn't apply it as much as I should have, but now I apply it twice daily and I hope to see results in the next 1-3 months like I read in other reviews. It is very easy to apply. My stretch marks have been on my body for forever and I know that those are the harder ones to get rid of, so I am just praying for the best results. ... show more

    • Seems to be working!
I've been using this product on a burn scar for about a month and it seems to have improved the look of the scar. I heal horribly, but this scar is already smaller and less noticeable. Some people may not love the smell of Bio-Oil, but I adore it. It's soft and cinnamon-y. The oil itself is thin and rubs in easily without feeling greasy. My only complaint is that I received an unboxed bottle. Because of this, I have no way of verifying that the product is legit/untampered. ... show more

    • I have terrible keloid scars from a couple surgeries
I have terrible keloid scars from a couple surgeries. They have been with me for 7-8 years and I was told by a plastic surgeon they may never go away. I have tried everything including plastic surgery. I've always used other oils, mostly in the dry winter months, that was great for my skin and nails, but nothing for my scars. It was quite awhile before I noticed a very tiny difference, so I kept it up using every day after showering. It's been a few months and the difference is small, but there IS a difference, so I'll get more when I run out. A small difference over time is better than none. ... show more
