I love this XL beach tent so much. Pros: easy to set up (even if you're under 5 feet tall and 100 lbs), easy to keep in your trunk because it folds up wonderfully. The color is great, tons of people have come up and asked where I got it. Longevity seems to be holding up well... have used it dozens of times for about 3 years. Keeps the sun off with no sun burn. I did buy the extra extender and think that's also a must, especially if you have several people with you who like to lay out. Cons: The bag holder for the tent ripped after a few years. I purchased a bigger $20 bag off amazon that works great instead because it's bigger and easier to shove the tent in when I'm done at the beach. The zipper that attaches the longer extending piece that you lay out on broke after a few uses. I bought velcro strips that I use to attach it to the base of the tent and it works well. It can be a little difficult to set up on a windier day, but that's to be expected. I think the one thing that can also get a little tricky sometimes is at the very top of the tent you have to align the base of the plastic rods, and "pop" it into place (it makes sense if you own one, or another tent like this) and sometimes sand gets in there. Easy to get in, much more difficult to "pop" out to put the tent away. I just tilt the tent towards me and use my foot to pop it out. I give this 5/5 stars anyhow because of the longevity and I even purchased this as a gift for a friend of mine. For $110 it's fantastic :) The little windows in the tent are also awesome for a breeze or privacy. Buy it! ... show more

This tent is amazing. It is super lightweight and very easy to set up and take down. We have used it at the beach and it works perfectly. We bought the extra large so we would have room to store our items inside the tent while we are at the beach. Those items help weigh the tent down so that it doesn't blow away. We also followed the advice of another reviewer who said to use Ziploc bags to fill with sand instead of using the bags attached to the tent. That advice definitely helped keep the sand mess to a minimum. We also bought the attachable floor so that we could enclose the tent for privacy should we need to change our clothes. The floor is also good to use as a 'front porch' for the tent to keep the sand out of the tent as much as possible. As the day progresses, sand will definitely get in the tent but having the extra floor down in front of the tent helps keep a lot of the sand out of the interior area. The tent does a very good job of protecting you from the sun and it is very nice to have three different windows that you can open and close independently. The windows are nice and large which allows for a nice cross breeze. I would definitely recommend this tent. ... show more

We recently took our Pacific Breeze beach tent to Hanalei, Hawaii and we are thrilled with how that worked out! It’s lightweight, super easy to set up, and a snap to take down. Both the tent and two King Camp chairs (also fantastic) easily fit in a military style duffel bag, which we checked as luggage. On the beach, it took seconds to unfold and set up. So easy. And it was a perfect way to hang out without getting too much sun. A few times it also started to rain (typical in Hanalei) and it was perfect for that too. The window shades were terrific as well, to keep the tent ventilated. Hanalei can be a bit windy, but the tent easily held its own. (You can see in the pic that there’s someone in the background fighting with their umbrella in the wind.) Two small bits of advice- - The stakes that come with the tent are mediocre. Splurge for better steaks and use the supplied ones for the “porch”. We bought the screw-in type of stakes. Perfect. - The little tie that’s used to secure the tent when folded up is way too small and flimsy. Splurge fir a couple of bungee cords. Overall we are thrilled and have no regrets! ... show more

This product worked great for 4 days of full on beach R&R. I'm 5'10 and had no issues opening and collapsing this tent. It's so very easy to do. I did a couple of practice runs in my living room before the trip to get familiar with it. I recommend looking up vids on YouTube to get familiar beforehand. Also with the sea breeze I had my wife hold it just in case it tried to blow away while I staked it down then sand bagged it. ***Kudos to who ever mentioned taking 6 x 1 gallon ziplock bags for the built in sand pockets...Pro-tip!! Fill those up once you get to the beach then open up the tent and put them in vs the loose sand. No mess in the end! It's very light and so far seems very durable. It fit two adults and one toddler just fine. Provided plenty of shade from noon to sundown. The only thing I'm concerned about is that I already saw rust forming on some of the pins on the folding legs when I got home and rinsed it off. Given that it saw four days of beach use I'll keep and eye on that next time I use it. I'll probably buy this as a gift for my beach goer rekatives for Xmas. ... show more
