I love this thing! I especially like how the divider is like a plate. If I want more salad, I put the dressing container above the divider with my toppings. If I want more toppings, I put the dressing container with my greens.

I'm revising my review because after using it and running it through the dishwasher a few times, I find I kind of like it. It's lightweight, which is great for carrying into work. The size is perfect for my needs. It holds a lot of food. A lot of days I eat part of my salad for breakfast and the rest for lunch so I fit 2 meals into this one container. The lid was really hard to open when I first got this, but it has gotten easier, although it's still not great. I have a lot of OXO products and love them all, but this one is a fail. The lid of the salad bowls is difficult to open and I have to use such force that when it finally opens, there's such rebound that I'm worried about food flying out of it. Also, the small round dressing container is almost impossible for me to open. Maybe if I didn't have arthritis I could do it, but it's not worth the pain so I tossed them. I can't speak to whether or not they're leak-proof because I haven't used them yet. ... show more

One of the hard things about bringing salads to work is that they don't always look very appetizing after smooshing together in the container all morning. With this container, you can put the lettuce, carrots, etc. on the bottom and meats/cheese/diced egg on the top. Or you could put all of that on the bottom and have croutons on the top and the dressing in a separate little container. OXO always comes up with useful products. ... show more

I had the previous version of the OXO salad container, and I like this one better. The main portion is larger, and can fit a sizable salad. I love the salad dressing container, which does not leak.
