these containers work very well I'm a huge fan of the oxo brand. The 4 stars is probably more so my fault. These are very small that I didn't really know what to use them for but I did end up finding use for them. I use them for snacks now

I got this to put my Teavana bags in since they aren’t individually wrapped. It fits nearly all of the bags, and keeps it fresh. My only complaint is that you don’t have to pop the button to easily pull the lid off. I much prefer the older version or the steel lid version as they don’t have this problem. I bought the taller version of this despite that, to hold my favorite tea that I buy in bulk. That being said, I wouldn’t buy this version for much else. ... show more

Loved the last generation of this product with the old lid design. It worked great until they cheaped out and simplified the lid design with this new version. Like many others have mentioned, this new design lid is bad! The lid stays on ok when it’s clean and new, but after a few days of use, the dust it picks up on the silicone prevents it from making a seal and yes, it slips off without pressing the release button on the top. Every time I tried to pick up the container, the lid wants to slip off. Almost dropped it on the floor a few times. And another thing, the container is made of plastic, so it creates a lot of static if you are storing grounded grainy food items, such as sugar and flour. The grounds just end up clinging on the side walls of the container, making the lid even more difficult to seal. OXO - you should fire your design team. Don’t you test and evaluate your products in the real world before releasing to production. What a waste of everyone’s resources! ... show more

I bought two to use around the house for dog treats. I usually cut up the treats since I have small dogs. I have one placed on my desk and one placed by my front door. It’s nice to have them in a sealed container so they stay fresher longer.

Amazon had to package this item knowing it was completely crushed. Packaging was clear and fit tightly. I purchased as Used "opened, not in original packaging". Absolutely no part was usable. **OXO canisters are great** and was acually buying this to replace a lid. I didn't even need the container but the price of this entire unit was cheaper than a single lid. Too good to be true for sure. Even this lid was unsalvageable! Amazon did issue a refund for my return. I'm normally an Amazon fan. 1 ☆ was for Amazon not OXO products. ... show more
