This peeler does a good job creating julienned cut vegetables. After a few swipes, little bits of food can get stuck within the teeth, so I just carefully pull them out. I was able to make julienned cucumber and carrots quickly and easily, with so little clean-up, for rice bowls. I was so happy I'm looking for recipes to use this handy tool! I only wish the handle had a bit of a curve and stopper at the end, so it would feel more secure in my hand. It's a bit pricey for what you get, so I hope the teeth stay sharp for a long time. Great device, I prefer OXO products in the kitchen. But, I was surprised how fine a julienne it creates. A good size for say Thai food but in a green salad kind of small. Could just be me!

This is a super helpful product for fuss free even juliennes of any firm veg. Just need to be careful and keep the hand holding the vegetables at a safe distance to avoid cuts .. oxo products are very reliable and last long … only thing is if you expect match stick thick juliennes, this product doesn’t deliver it … for salad, dressing or Asian vegetables, zoodles etc thi is an excellent prep tool … go for it ! ... show more

This works well. I purchase per recommendation for a cabbage dish. It's sharp. Cut green cabbage easily....not as well with red but still saved time. I wish the handle was about about 1/4 inch longer and was a little thicker. That said, happy with the purchase.
