GET A BETTER CAM. CONNECTION ISSUES AND FREEZING ISSUES

I have never disliked an item more in my life. EVER. I WISH I could give this product 0 stars. After not liking my momcozy baby cam, I decided to try the owlet because I have the sock and the sock is amazing so I thought this product would be great too.. I was very very wrong. It was working fine for ONE night and then the next is when it would shut off and say camera offline, connection unstable (I tested it out in multiple houses and it did the same thing in each one), and it even WOULD FREEZE AND GO MUTE. That was probably the most terrifying thing as a first time parent hearing my baby scream because she was an awake and looking at the monitor and seeing she was sound asleep… MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. thankfully I was awake and cleaning the house so I was able to hear it, but what if I wasn’t? My poor baby would have probably been crying all night. Do yourself a favor and get a different camera even if it is a little bit more expensive. This camera is a headache and you will not be able to get things done OR sleep peacefully knowing your baby is okay. I just got the Eufy camera for $100 more and it is AMAZING so far.

Generally speaking I think it does work as expected. I don’t think it’s as intuitive as I’d like it to be if you don’t use the sock. Just as a camera is fine, it’s just nothing fancy. It does record when there’s movement and I would say for the most part it captures most things (you can control how sensitive you want the camera) so sometimes it does miss things. App is fine to use; no notes on that really. We primarily use this to help log what times we put down and get baby up from crib for nap scheduling. We don’t rely on this monitor overnight. Camera quality could be better, I don’t think it’s our WiFi so the zooming capability is lacking slightly. Serves its purchase and I’m happy it didn’t cost over $100 to do so.

We’ve been using the Owlet camera since bringing our baby home, and overall it’s been a really reassuring addition to our routine—especially during those early newborn weeks when you’re constantly checking to make sure everything is okay. The video quality is clear both day and night, and the night vision is especially helpful for those middle-of-the-night check-ins without having to turn on lights. I love that it streams directly to my phone, so I can peek in from anywhere without disturbing the baby. The wide-angle view and zoom make it easy to see everything in the crib, which gives a lot of peace of mind. One of the standout features is the notifications. The camera alerts you to sound, motion, or crying, so you don’t feel like you have to constantly watch the screen. It’s nice to be able to step away and still feel connected. The two-way audio is also a sweet touch—you can talk to your baby or soothe them without rushing into the room right away. () That said, it’s not completely perfect. Like many Wi-Fi monitors, it can occasionally be a little finicky with connectivity, especially if your internet isn’t strong. Some users mention needing to reset or reconnect from time to time, which can be frustrating when you just want a quick check-in. Overall, the Owlet camera has given us a sense of comfort and convenience that’s hard to put a price on. Being able to see and hear our baby at any moment makes those early parenting days feel a little less overwhelming. We love our dream camera! It was very easy to pair in the app and get all set up. It gives such great peace of mind when baby transitions to their crib with amazing features like tracking room humidity and temperature alerting you when the room becomes too uncomfortable for baby. You can change the settings to what you want it to pick up from noises to motions and also captures video moments during alert. The picture quality is absolutely amazing and very clear! Love that it plugs into the wall so you don’t have to worry about charging a battery and constantly worry about what the battery life is at and comes with covers to tuck away the cord and hide it. Definitely worth its value and for the peace of mind it gives!

Don't waste your money - buy a different brand. As someone who used to be a huge fan of Owlet, I am very disappointed with the performance of this camera. It stopped connecting to wifi 4 months into use. This is my third owlet camera and I am done wasting time trying to get it to work. Their technical support is quick to blame issues on the consumer. Absolutely nothing has changed in our house - not our wifi, not the router, not the location of the camera, not the phone I am using for the app. Yet, they are admenant that it's something with iur wifi, without trying anything on their end. Go elsewhere, Owlet isn't what it used to be.
