The Synology brand is really expensive compared to this. I have been buying OWC memory for years so I trust this one. I am no expert but this has been working great so far. I don't see any issues unless Synology can somehow detect the brand of memory and disable it.

Wow. Once I view the video on how to change out memory, I thought I might be able to do it myself. These RAM modules fit perfectly and worked first time. I'm so glad I looked into adding more RAM. My stock 16GB was almost constantly full and causing all kinds of problems. I had no idea what to do... I thought I would have to buy a new iMac. Then I somehow stumbled into the idea of adding RAM and saw that it was pretty do-it-yourself. This RAM saved the day for sure. I replaced two stock 8GB modules and put in two 32GB.
