I chose this fabric shower curtain in black, for a guest room in my home. Unlike many other shower curtains on the market, which are made of plastic, this curtain is made of fabric, allowing you to periodically remove and machine-wash it. In my opinion, this is a great improvement, as plastic shower curtains cannot be effectively cleaned except by spraying a cleaning agent on them while they’re still hung in the shower, waiting a period of time, and then rinsing them off. I much prefer the option of removing the curtain and giving it a thorough wash in the machine. However, it's important to note that this shower curtain is primarily for aesthetics. By this, I mean that you’ll need to use a plastic interior liner in your shower. This is not unusual; even plastic shower curtains often come with a clear plastic liner for the inside of the shower area. Since this particular curtain is made of fabric, it looks and feels stylish but won’t keep water from spilling out. That’s why you’ll need a plastic liner on the inside, but these are inexpensive and, in my opinion, not a deal-breaker. The curtain also comes with a set of inexpensive white plastic rings. While functional, I felt that the stark white rings against the black curtain were an unattractive choice, so I opted not to use them. Instead, I reused a set of black metal rings I already had. The shower curtain looks and feels well manufactured and is currently in place, in my guest room where it is getting the job done, while looking exactly as I had intended. It’s is the perfect length from shower rod to the floor and makes our bathroom look eloquent but yet homely and relaxing. The curtain is not too thick and hangs so seem less. We’ve tested out the functionality several times and it does what it needs to do keeping the water in the shower and not on the floor.
