  • Either bad batch, or terrible product. ZERO Stars.
I cannot recommend this product. I tried multiple settings, temperatures, and experiments. Nothing would allow this to stick properly to my bed. It printed like chewed bubblegum or taffy. I am not sure if the product is not properly cured or what. I had multiple prints fail with the purple matte PLA, i would then immediately swap to hatchbox, sunlu, or 3d fuel and print just fine. I contacted their customer service, and they told me to level my bed and gave me a bunch of excuses and that it was not their product. I had sent pictures, and explained I could print a half dozen other products without issue. They told me to just print a Raft, which in some cases would be fine, however not everything I print do i want a terrible texture on one side, which a raft causes. I spent the better part of 4 days adjusting print temps, bed temps, print speeds, and other various setting with no ability to get a decent print. I had also ordered their space grey, and told them I did not want to open it if it was going to print just as bad, again no help just excuses. I finally gave up and after a few days of stewing on the issue I opened the space grey which printed just fine. I again tried the matte purple. Same friggen result. So I chucked it in the trash. Pretty bad they tout how great their support is, and they say it is fully guaranteed, howeve my experience was not the same. As for the Matte Purple it is a Terrible product and worse service. I did find success with the space grey, but I will NEVER order this product again. And suggest you steer clear as well. ... show more

  • gorgeous finish, glass adhesion extremes
Color: Light Gray
This filament is absolutely gorgeous whether or not you're printing cursed objects. Printing on glass has had two extremes for me so far. on clean glass it seems to struggle to make an adhesion and can easily spaghettify in the first couple of layers. Using something like hairspray creates an insanely strong bond on glass, especially if your file has a lot of surface touching the build plate. Enough that it takes a lot of work and worry to remove. All said and done, I will definitely be buying more of their matte PLA. ... show more

  • Never a bad print. Plus a ahdesion tip.
Color: Black
Hands down Best PLA I've used. I'm not gonna pay more just cause it says something like Prusa on it. I've only had amazing results. Some people say it has bad bed adhesion I have some advice for that 1. clean your bed with 99% isopropyl alcohol 2. Level your bed right. I know there are 50+ videos on you tube with guys leveling with a post it note.....seriously? People want the machine to be precise yet they use a sheet of paper, doesn't make much sense. Spend the money and get a feeler guage set. There worth the 5 or 10 bucks. Heat the bed to working temp make sure the nozzle is clean and flat then level with the .004"/.102mm it should slide under snug and not bump into the nozzle or raise the extruder. I print 200c with a 60c bed. First layer .16 and .2 after that. Hope this helps someone. ... show more

  • Watch out for amount remaining!
Color: Midnight Black
I really wish someone at Overture would rethink that label they put on the side. The one that shows how much is remaining. Hint: The larger the circumference, the more material you have. So when they use these hash marks 200-400-600-800g, they mean nothing since they area EVENLY SPACED. The circumference (and therefore filament remaining) is not equal between 200g and 400g or length 70m-140m-210m-280m. I'd say you've used half of the spool when it shows just over 600g or 210m. Not around 500 as the label would lead you to believe. Math aside, I really like this filament. I've used it enough that I dialed my machine in for it and my prints turn out excellent. I really like the tone of this one as well. Don't the let Eco name fool you, it's just as bad for the environment as any other filament. ... show more

  • A review in process
Color: Black
I am having the worst time with this filament. I've had filaments give me trouble before, but they were typically bottom of the barrel filaments. Overture is a known good filament so this is a bit of a shock. Pros. When I can get a print out of the filament, it is absolutely beautiful, the layer lines go away, the matte finish (although a bit satin) really hides a lot of imperfections, and the strength of the material is simply amazing for a PLA. Cons. Difficult to stick to material. Fine detail on the first layer are lost because often the filament curls immediately upon being laid down. The largest prints are always lifted in the corners, or strangely, nearly impossible to remove from the hotbeds. I've used five different hotbed textures, from mirrors to PEI and I can't get this to stick without the bed having to be at 75 degrees, and the filament at 220 or higher degrees. This is not good since its supposed to be similar to all the other filament out there (200 degrees C for the nozzle, and 60 degrees C for the heated bed. I will keep trying this filament out, and I will figure out how to print with it. It simply looks too beautiful not to print with it, and then, at that time, I will give it appropriate stars. I hope it works out well. ... show more
