  • Favorite PETG
Color: Light Gray Size: 2kg (2-pack)
Overture is my go to PETG. Their consistency is always spot on as well as the colors printing amazing and with ease. I have never received a bad spool or any tangles. The filament has always seamlessly worked in my printer. I also like this gray because white and black filaments are hard to identify things that need to be fixed for post production. ... show more

  • Works Fine.
Color: Light Gray Size: 2kg (2-pack)
Edit: Ignore review below, The printer just happened to get a partial clog right as I switched rolls. Fixed the clog, ended up upgrading the hotend and nozzle, and the same 'new' rolls are coming out perfect. Mixed bag. Picked up a couple 2 packs of the Light Grey PETG about a month apart. All 4 spools were sufficiently dried before and during running. Dialed in a new slicer setup with Spool 1, 1 & 2 came out showroom perfect. 3 was overly wet right out of the box, and went into the drier, along with 4. First piece printed was ~180g and was under-extruded everywhere, with lots of small stringing in the corners. Won't say I won't use them again, but I'll be looking at other brands first. ... show more

  • Ender 3 pro, prints well, service your machine.
Color: White Size: 2kg (2-pack)
I will be honest, initially I gave this filament a crappy review, no matter what I did I couldn't get a consistent print turns out it was the old classic operator error! It would start out ok but around the third layer clogs would start and unless I watched it like a hawk and cleared them the print would fail, other times it would sail through with no problems, change the tip, change the temp, dry the filament, level, clean etc. I disassmbled the machine, ender 3 pro, turns out my heater block in the print head was loose, it was going up and down changing the length between that and the feed just enough to shorten the distance allowing the heat to travel up into the print head melting the filament too early causing clogs - other times there would be consistent pressure pushing the heater block down and it would be fine resulting in a good print and my continual confusion. Machine disassembled, cleaned, assembled and bolts checked and tightened, new tip, now everything is as perfect as it can be given the fact this is an old machine. Lesson, regular service saves a lot of time. This filament, for me, prints best at 250 with a bed temp of 85, I am using a glass bed so a quick coating with a glue stick solves any adhesion problems. I get a little stringing but a little cleanup i.e. removing the supports and a little sanding get rid of all that. The surface finish is good right of the bed, the usual lines if you look closely but that is the nature of 3d printing. I like to use PETG for all my prints as it stands up better to heat, especially here in california, as I had lost a few PET prints by simply leaving them in the car. I am using the PETG to print a robot arm, and I also use this filament for functional prototypes, electrical enclosures, for these types of projects it works fine. I use this and matterhacker standard PETG filament and the results are basically the same. It's not perfect, hence 4 stars, the stringing which doesn't go away with a lower temp as I said, but I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Avoid Overture PETG
Color: Light Gray Size: 2kg (2-pack)
Horrible experience trying to get this to print. It strings, it globs, it oozes. The walls have cracks, warts and holes and layer adhesion is poor. I have a Bambu P1S printer and have tried the generic PETG setting, used Overture recommended temps from the actual spool and from the website (believe it or not they are different), and then I spent almost 3 days and wasted most of a spool trying to adjust setting but to no avail. Finally, I popped in a Bambu PETG HL and it printed perfectly. I will add that I dried the roll for 7 hrs at 65C and then another 4 hours @65C as well in the midst of the problems, to no avail. This is a bad batch from Overture and I'm returning all 6 rolls. Overture enjoys a decent reputation but I'm going to have to avoid them for the foreseeable future. It's not worth the time or aggravation. ... show more

  • Great if you know how to print with PETG
Color: Black+transparent Size: 2kg (2-pack)
I see several negative reviews from people who have purchased this as their first roll of PETG coming from PLA. In most of these cases, their problems have nothing to do with the brand of filament but are due to user error. Printing with PETG, while not especially difficult, is definitely not as straightforward as PLA. You can not expect it to be plug and play on most stock bowden drive machines. With a bowden drive, retraction settings and temperature will be critical for decent results. Fan settings are important too. And if you want best results you really should upgrade to direct drive for more precise retraction and an all metal hot end for better temperature control. Furthermore, a good first layer will set you up for success on the rest of your print, so a flat and level bed and/or auto bed level system goes a long way. This applies to all materials but especially PETG because it will string and blob like crazy if your nozzle drags over high spots on the bed. This is a just a basic overview but there is more to know. Refer to any of the numerous videos or articles about this if you need help optimizing your machine for PETG. Once you get it dialed in, PETG is in my opinion the most well rounded material with excellent strength, great temperature resistance, good printability, and minimal health hazards relative to other materials. Overture is no exception and I have had great success with their filament. TLDR: This is good quality and high value filament. Don't bash the brand if you don't have experience with printing PETG. This is good filament and your issues likely have nothing to do with the quality of their product. ... show more

  • good stuff
Color: Black Size: 2kg (2-pack)
Overture is quality in my experience. I rarely have issues with their filament. I would like to explore other filament options sometime when I get back into printing, but if you are new to printing and just want to be sure you have good filament, try this

  • Best Filament for the money
Color: Black Size: 2kg (2-pack)
This filament is very consistent, and I repurchase Overture filament over any other for that reason. My Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro printer can sometimes have unusual outcomes and for the most part I know how this plastic is going to behave. I can use the heat parameters printed on the spool label and expect desired results with adhesion and quality. The only downside to Overture for me is that the range of colors doesn't always suit my needs but that's not a really a quality issue or a big deal for me because 95% of what I print is for structural assemblies. I only pick different colors to give an assembly some whimsy (orange for Halloween builds, green and red for Christmas, etc.). If I could get Bone White and Glow in the Dark PETG, I probably would never have to buy another brand. ... show more
