The media could not be loaded. Oil Based-paint Marker - Black in color If you need a good pen that will write on anything and everything, these pens will work. They are oil based and low fumes. Although, if you are using these pens indoors for a long amount of time I would recommend making sure you have some proper ventilation and airflow. I dont really notice their smell too much, but I am also not a person that is highly sensitive to these types of scents. These pens are easy to use and are filled with plenty of ink. I have not had any issues with dried out tips not wanting to write. If the tip does happen to get a little dry simply shake the pen a few times with the cap on and then press down on the tip a few times allowing the tip to enter inside the pen. This will help get the ink flowing and the tip should reabsorb more ink without any problem. I find that these pens are much more versatile for use where youre constantly uncapping and recapping a permanent marker. Like labeling in a warehouse setting or certain types of artistic hobbies. Unlike some other permanent markers that would dry out or not write on certain materials, these markers provided a consistent writing experience each time. Black is such a standard color for permanent marking pens, that I cant imagine not having these pens in black. The other colors these pens offer provide a palette variety for pretty much any task. The colors are bold and consistent. Another thing I love about these pens, I dont have to throw them away after a couple years from being dried up. Ive had a color set for at least that long, that I can pull any color from and they still write solid and consistent after giving it a good prime. These pens are amazing and can be used in any situation where permanent writing is needed. They also work great for writing on windshields :) Driving a tow truck and keeping track of impounded inventory, where other markers failed to write, these would do the job. ... show more

This is a nice quality pair of classic, oil-based paint pens from Overseas. I ordered the White pens, and they arrived in excellent condition with no signs of leakage. These are traditional style paint pens, with metal barrels, internal mixing balls, and stiff nibs that you must depress a few times to get the paint flowing before use. I am very impressed with how low odor the formulation of the paint is. Normally these types of pen stink to high heaven; these do not. While there is a scent, it is not overwhelming in any way. The paint has a very smooth flow and is not prone to build-up on the nib. That said, it is a little less opaque than one might wish - at least on paper. Since I am primarily a papercrafter, I tested these out on a sheet of standard black cardstock; and, as you can see from my review photos, the results are a bit translucent in the "single pass" areas. This does create a very authentic chalkboard look, if that is your desired result. However, if you are hoping for 100% coverage, that will be difficult to achieve in one pass. While I do wish that they had slightly better opacity, I realize that it is a trade-off. Ultimately, I prefer the thin, smooth-flowing paint - even if it is a bit translucent - over the thicker, more clog-prone formulations necessary to achieve complete coverage. (And I am fully aware of just how difficult one pass opacity is with any kind of white paint. Especially on a black background.) I really like these pens. They have a much finer point than many similar versions on the market. This produces much neater script results and allows for finer detail work. The paint dries very quickly and is not prone to smudging. Currently priced at only $5.59 for the pair, (with coupon) they are an excellent value, and I would absolutely recommend them. These paint pens are perfect. I have a decorative Parisian bicycle that’s about 10 inches long that was painted gold on the fenders. The paint faded and eventually came off during cleaning so I wanted to refinish the fenders with gold paint but they are small so I needed something small. These pens were exactly what I needed. If you want paint to last, make sure it’s oil based paint. These are oil based so I know from experience that the paint will last for a long time. After my little bike was dry, I dipped a small cloth in water than wiped the fenders down and nothing came off, the paint stayed out. This is a safe paint because it has no xylene or toluene which are toxic and can cause several health issues. When you get the pens and are ready to use them, shake them well, like you would a can of spray paint, the paint inside needs to blend. Get a scrap piece of paper and put it on a clipboard or hard surface then press the pen tip on the paper repeatedly. It will take multiple times before the paint saturates the tip so don’t give up, it will eventually come out. When it starts to flow, the tip will always be saturated and will write or color very smoothly. It’s a shiny metallic gold. ... show more

These are terrific paint pens! I got the silver because I do a lot of jewelry crafts and I like that these paint pens use thicker ink that you can use to mark on a lot of different surfaces. It covers quickly and more easily than digging out a paintbrush for precision work. For example, I found this pair of earrings that had discolored from age, and it was fast and easy to color silver over them. In this pic, I have colored in the top one and the lower one has the original discoloration still. There was very little odor, as advertised, and once dry, they seem to be holding their color well. No chipping or rubbing off so far! If I'd had to spray paint them or something it would have been a lot more set up and clean up. Plus I like the fine detail you can do with these. I will be using them a lot and may order some in the other colors! ... show more
