It's beautiful :) the Large fits under my 17.5 Thorowgood T8 Jump Saddle perrrrrfectly. The medium would definitely have been too small. It's seriously so beautiful for the price being under $200, and the feature that it is shimmable. So jazzed to use it. Will update about durability in the future.

Can't speak to the long term quality, as I just got the pad, but it seems well made and is very attractive. I needed something to help build up the back of my saddle and correct some minor fit issues, because unfortunately buying a new saddle (for my new horse) is not an option at this point. I think this saddle pad will do the trick in the interim. I wasn't sure about size, so I ordered one of each; as you can see in the pictures I've attached, the Reg/Med pad is true to size and will fit a 16" or 17" AP or CC saddle. ... show more

This is a very good alternative to $200+ pads that offer shimming options. The included shims are of varying densities, materials, and thicknesses, so you really can achieve a somewhat custom fit. I bought the pad in black for use with my dressage saddle, and it looks pretty sharp. The fleece is very soft, though I can't comment on the durability since I haven't had it very long. We can't afford to shell out $300 but needed a back riser with lots of fluff. Our trainer was insane for this. Haven't washed it yet, but it supports beautifully. I love the pull outs. We fiddled with it to get it just right. Beware, you do lose a lot of feel at first, until you get used to it. Some months later, it hasn't packed down at all & the horse is not sore. ... show more

I love this pad but the description from the manufacture seriously needs changed i the size department. I had to exchange the large for a regular because of this. I have a 17.5 wide saddle and the large was 4-5 inches too long for my saddle. Even if my saddle was an 18 i would have still had to exchange for the regular. Other than that the quality is amazing and i would recommend this pad to everyone ! ... show more

Great pad, a little big for 17.5 close contact saddle. Comes with fabric shims. We did not keep them as they wouldn't hold shape, made our own from Cashel pad. But I would compare to mattes on quality, just needs better shims.

It’s nicely made, but is too narrow in the back. Saddle sits on the sheepskin instead of in between. Then on top of it, it slides forward while riding! So bizarre. I do not recommend this half pad.

Great pad with lots of adjustability options. It came with felt and foam pads. Per another reviews suggestion, I ordered a medium for my 17.5” saddle, and I am so glad I did. It fits perfectly and a large would have been way. Too long.
