My 6lb pom loves this particular ball because it feels right in her mouth. She can squeak it, chew it, and catch it without injury. She loves the sound. The only issue is that the squeaker part might come out and they could choke but that's true of any piece of plastic. I have a 80lb Boxer who just loves squeaky balls. Unfortunately, they don't last very long with him. I bought the wrong size by accident. My dog loves these especially since they squeak. The downside to them is when soaked in water they lose their squeak which is frustrating for my dog.

Our dog loves these. She's a new rescue so we're trying to find what works and what doesn't. These are great! Our biggest problem is that she keeps hiding them. We haven't found her stash yet! The cover of one ball torn right away. Other than that they great!

I buy these for around the house and yard, and regular orange dog tennis balls for chasing on hikes. I just figured out that my 70 lb Gordon Setter will chew on the regular tennis balls and break them in half, pretty much in the first hour. But since we use them on hikes and for fetch in ponds, where he doesn't sit and chew them, and we lose them on a weekly basis, I'm happy with the cheaper non-squeaky ball for this purpose. He hasn't yet broken any of the squeaker balls, even though he chews on them. I think the squeaker makes it less likely that a good chomp will break the ball in half. I'm even impressed that the squeak survives the rain. Don't throw them in the pond, though. ... show more

We live in rural Wi and we called in a coyote one evening by playing with these balls. It stood at the edge of the grass and yapped at us. I guess it wanted to join in on the fun. Now we only use these during the day. :)
