Dog loves the lizard and the flamingo
Size: Large
Style: Exotic Lizard
My German Shephard Mallinois mix pup loves the fire hose toys. They are strong but she kills the squeakers pretty quickly. Sometimes they are silent after the second day and some don’t make it beyond the hour. That said the dog just loves these toys. I usually buy about 4 -5 per year. The flamingo seems tougher but I think she loves the EXOTIC lizard the best. She killed one squeaker the first day but the other four are still alive and squeeking. One drawback that I do not like is the paint on the lizard peels off. It must be a latex type compound as it has some elasticity to it. I will buy more due to the fact they make her so happy.

Not indestructible
Size: Large
Style: Dragon
Our 14 month old south African Boerboel loves the firehose toys and they do stand up better than other toys but are not indestructible. The squeakers are also easily destroyed, do not work after being punctured. She has gotten 2 squeakers out already and hasn't had it for long. This is the 3rd time I gave it to her. I also had to take the eyes off as they were peeling off/ I don't want her to ingest them. 3 stars because she does truly enjoy taking the firehose toys apart and it does take longer than other "indestructible" toys. Also once she gets the squeakers out she will still play with the hose.

Tuff, but not Tuff-e-Nuff.
Size: Large
Style: Dragon
Holds up better than any other thing they've had, but in the end, it too is no match for a pitbull... or two.

Meant to be destroyed by active Pyredane puppy
Size: Large
Style: Flamingo
I struggled with a review for this item, but ended up giving 4 stars for serving its intended purpose very well: Keeping my power chewer, insanely destructive, 8-month old Great Dane x Great Pyrenees (Pyredane) puppy from chewing up everything in the vicinity. The photos are noteworthy as much for what WAS destroyed (the $10-$15 Fire biters toy) as what WAS NOT destroyed (her $30 dog bed, the $10 area rug, the $15 worth of blankets, my new $70 Hey Dudes shoes). Estimated value of protection from Puppy Mayhem: $115 (subtracted $10 for cost of toy). Estimated value of 15+ hours of extra sleep I’ve gotten each morning: Priceless. Poor Mr. Flamingo has been in service for about 10 days, and he’s not looking good to last much longer. Chew proof? No, not really. Other reviewers are accurately reporting that this toy suffers significant abuse almost immediately. Durable? Nope. Messy? Yep. Entertaining? YES. Lucky Penny has had a higher level of engagement with this Fire biters Flamingo than anything else in my massive arsenal of treats and toys. Beef cheek rolls and thickly braided bully sticks can entertain her for maybe a few hours, a high quality Yak Milk cheese stick will last for maybe a week of off-and-on chewing. All of these items are comparable in price to the Fire biters toys, but do not provide anywhere near the hours of enjoyment for my pup. And yes, the surgically removed squeakers still work! Maybe I should have given it 5 stars after all….

Quality varies, not for extreme chewers
Size: Large
Style: Dragon
My dog chewed a hole in it within minutes. All of their toys are not created equal. The quality varies. I've had ones that lasted a while and then rebought the same one and it was gone in less than an hour. I'm sure it's a fine product for a lighter chewers. In fact my previous dog loved them and they lasted her years. I want to stress that this is a good buy for medium to light chewers. My rating is for an extreme chewer.

Corgi Resistant
Size: Large
Style: Dragon
Got this at TJ Max the first time and it took our super chewer a month to destroy it. So I decided to order theee more from here. This is absolutely her favorite chew/tug toy. May really well just wish the individual sections were seamed like the outer edge. She has found out that if she chews on the inner seams it is a lot easier to get inside and to the squeaker. That being said she has still not got it open. It’s still a 5 star toy. Getting more eventually.

An epic Tail of Beast vs the Lizard
Size: Large
Style: Red Lizard
Prepare yourself for the epic tale of the Biterz Red Lizard Plush, a toy that dared to challenge the indomitable spirit of a tenacious beagle! In a world where dog toys come and go like shooting stars, I set my sights on the mythical Firehose material, believing it would be the ultimate weapon against my new beagle companion's voracious chewing habits. Tales of its legendary durability had reached my ears, and I was determined to put it to the test. As I unveiled the Outward Hound Fire Hose toy, its vibrant colors and an enticing squeak filled the air. Instantly, my wise old beagle locked eyes with it, a spark of curiosity igniting in his soul. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of an epic clash of wills, a battle of canine versus toy. Within mere minutes, my tenacious hound had sunk his mighty teeth into the Fire Biterz Arms, as if challenging the toy to prove its worth. Undeterred, he pressed on, and in just one hour, the toy had succumbed to the beagle's relentless assault, surrendering to the power of his jaws. Two halves now lay before him, perhaps an offering to the other pup in the house, or a strategic move to silence the mischievous squeakers that taunted him. As the hours passed, the toy's fate was sealed, and I, the witness to this epic spectacle, could no longer bear its suffering. The once glorious Biterz Red Lizard Plush now lay broken, its soulless eyes silently pleading for mercy. Though the Fire Hose toy did not endure as long as I had hoped, it revealed the true nature of my canine companion. His might and tenacity are unmatched, driving me on a quest to find a toy that can stand against the storm of his powerful jaws. Thus, the journey continues, as I seek out a legendary toy that will prove worthy of my gallant beagle's strength. This epic tale serves as a warning to all who dare to face the challenge of a determined canine: choose your toys wisely, for only the mightiest will survive the test of time in the paws of my canine warrior!
