I just got this awning after looking for many expensive ones. I gave it a shot as I did not want to spend a lot and want it just block some rain coming directly on my side door, deteriorating the door frame. I will get to know the results only after it rains. :) It was easy to assemble, but as other reviews said, the instruction manual is very short with no description of steps, but it is easy to understand if you are hands on. The quality looks good as per the price paid. The anchors did not hold properly and the top hole on the frame is bigger than the anchor, which allows it to get pulled when you tighten the bolt. I used lead anchors and lag screws. Gave 4 stars, as I still need to check how effective it is and if there are any leaks.

Needed to replace an awning above my side door. Got this one because I just needed a simple awning that I could get installed quickly. I was facing non renewal on my homeowners insurance due to my awning missing. So put this together and installed in about an hour counting time spent on mounting the plywood and trim where my old framed awning was. It has been up for about a month and is sturdy and does its job. I pre marked and drilled my holes on some plywood that I placed where the old awning was. So that way I could easily hole it up by myself and quickly get it screwed in place. I didn’t really like the hardware it came with. So I got some 3 1/2” x 1/4” thick outdoor lag screws from Lowe’s. Had to use a ratchet to screw them in because my drill would fit in the tight space to screw. So I recommend getting different hardware and this awning is a great, budget friendly, durable option!

It was difficult to put together. When I placed over my door the slop was too low to be able to open the door on my three season room. I will try to find a place to use it. It’s not very sturdy so I don’t know how long it would last anyway.

Actually arrived faster than expected. Took 20 minutes to assemble and install. Might be the easiest awning I’ve ever assembled.

I have purchased five of these door canopies now. None are placed over a doorway. All five are used to cover window wells around the perimeter of my house. I was getting water into the basement when there were excessive downpours due to water accumulating in the window wells. These handle the job perfectly. The water rolls off into the grass instead of into the window well. Two caveats. First, they are kind of a pain to assemble. It takes about 15-20 minutes of manipulation and foul language before they are completed. Pretty sturdy once assembled but you cannot stand on/place anything on top of them as they are not built to hold any real weight. Second, make sure to take the plastic covering (very thin sheets) off BOTH sides of each of the panels. The first is easy to see as it is opaque. The second is clear and you won't notice it until light cannot shine through the panels.
