This is a sturdy fire pit that is easy to assemble. It has a hole in the middle of the basin so that water drains out and therefore you don't get rust as easily. Only one litttttle problem. The very first time we used it, the "wood grate" that sits at the bottom of the basin, to allow air to get around the fire and feed it, melted. I posted a picture - the heat of the fire managed to melt whatever metal this is made of. There was nothing unusual about this fire, and all fires end up with hot coals at the bottom. This is a pretty bad design flaw and makes me worry about the rest of the product. So, it's a decent fire pit but recognize that you will have to buy a second grate that is specifically built to handle these temperatures. ... show more

Have used this fire pit six times now. Finish is still there. No issues. We keep it inside when not in use. Like the large size. It appears that it will take a long time to burn it up. Quality product.

It’s a nice size! It also looks very nice. Lightweight, yet still sturdy, I am able to easily move it all on my own to and from my garage with my weak woman arms. It is also easy to dump out ashes because of its lightweight design, and the fact that the drum can be lifted out of the frame easily. I use it to burn up brush and split wood. It’s perfect for that, but I would say not for serious burning so this is ideal for city dwellers. ... show more

    • A few confusing/wrong assembly instructions, some very minor damage
It is really pretty, but one leg was slightly gouged, and the clips on which the lid sets are displayed upside down on instructions. It’s quite large, so I might get a bigger grill for the bottom to protect the finish. Overall, very pleased.

Okay, what can I say positive….it arrived packaged well and without damage, it’s bowl is adequate in size, it’s less expensive than the other 5000 options that are also totally cheaped out. As some reported, it’s base is cheesy and weak at best, just thin stamped metal with a coat of black paint. The bowl is also quite thin as some reported but that is a complaint reported on most all others as well. I’ve had a few fire pits through the years and it’s gotten to the point it’s darn near impossible to find one for less than 500$ that’s worth a toot. This pit will likely last a few seasons tops and then only with a top to keep rain out. The screen fits on brackets that you attach to the top inside edge so it does “fit” contrary to some reviews. The grate is around 1/8” steel, relatively small in diameter relative to the bowl and won’t last long. I have had to buy grates to replace in pits before and even 1/2” steel deforms but at least remains functional for a long time. This grate will deform and fail pretty quickly I’ve no doubt. Why are there so many 5 star reviews? In summary it’s flimsy and barely “capable” and is unlikely to last very long. Next time I’ll just go with the heavy steel ones and commit to shoveling ashes out instead of picking the bowl up and dumping it. Only other option is to find a real copper one with copper more than paper thickness…good luck from what I saw while looking. This is the true skinny on this one folks. ... show more

I love this kettle fire pit. I chose this design because I did not want the mesh sides some units have to allow the wind to blow the fire out of control. We used it for the very first time at my granddaughter's birthday party and it was perfect! Hint: I used 1 or 2 baby wipes to get the fire started, no problem! ... show more
