  • GREAT if installed correctly!
Color: Green
I have had my greenhouse for six months. We are into January now and have had the first snow. The cover is in great shape and looks like it will last for 2-3 years. Anything beyond that will be gravy for a temporary unit like this. Ours went through the remnants of two hurricanes but I worked very hard to secure it. You can purchase stakes at your local store. I did a number of things to ensure that the unit did not blow away....don't assume that any frame will hold up to strong winds without proper anchoring. The things I did: 1. Anchored from the anchor points on the cover but tied to stronger stakes than those that came with it. 2. Anchored inside from the frame to strong stake. 3. Mulched around the cover where it meets the ground making sure that no air could enter from the ground. 4. Firmly closed all of the vents to make sure that no air could enter. 5. For the hurricanes, added an anchor rope over the center of the greenhouse using strong stakes on each side. I have had NO issue with wind. With snow, I kept an eye on the snow and occassionaly went inside the greenhouse and "punched" the ceiling so the snow would fall off. I know from experience an accumulation of snow will collapse the unit. Because the greenhouse can get very hot, I also have ours installed under a hemlock which helps shed the snow but also keeps it from becoming blistering hot in the summer. So far, it has worked extremely well. For the winter, I've added a heater and lights and it is working extremely well. The only thing I didn't do that I wish I did was put something down forthe floor because fully loaded shelves tend to sink and I have had one topple over. We purchased a very expensive cover for a third car - heavy duty in every way and did not anchor it properly. The first storm, it collapsed. No heavy duty unit will be safe if not properly anchored. It is an outstanding unit. To be specific, I purchased the Outsunny Greenhouse 10 x 7 x 7 and have been very happy. ... show more

  • Worth the money. But realize you get what you pat for.
Color: Green
I just installed the frame today. Instructions are a little confusing at first. Until you realize what you're doing it's fine. I wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself. It's an easy 30 min job with someone but by yourself it could take an hour or two. I gave 3 stars because that's how it comes very cheap and the wind will blow it away with a simple gust. However. I made them 5 stars. I put this in my old raised bed because the soil gets warmer faster and cools down slower. I then just secured it to the raised bed frame. I drove 2ft pvc pipes into the soil to secure the legs. And I used brackets and nailed them to the wood structure. Finally I took paracord and 1ft long tent stakes and drove those into the soil. Not even a tornado could blow that suvker away now. I've yet to put the cover on so my 5 star rating could change. I've been using cheapo greenhouse for a long time so I know I'm paying for what I get. Instead of dealing with wiggle wire and 6mil plastic it's worth it. ... show more

  • Garbage
Color: Green
difficult to zip up. Can't get it to fully zip on both sides which is very disappointing. Then a week after I had it set up( i even put extra anchor bolts around it to make sure it stayed in place) we got a mild wind storm and every single one of the poles bent as if the flimsiest plastic (even though it s metal) causing the whole thing to collapse and be unusable ... show more

  • Does Not Like the Wind
Color: Green
When I received the unit it came with instructions on how to put it together, and it was an easy assembly. Part of the instructions were to bury about 12 inches of the green covering into the soil to secure it. Now, that's great if you live in a place that doesn't get windy, because once the wind starts blowing above 20 MPH it pulls that flap right out of the ground, and it acts like a huge parachute (I could have used it in the Army!). Take into consideration that I also used lanyards anchored into the ground AND it is protected from the wind right next to a fence - can you imagine the havoc if it were in the middle of the yard! The seams are ripping, the material has stretched in the sunlight for 5 months to the point the window flaps do not line up anymore. I live in Northern California in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, so if you live in Kansas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Etc... please continue on to the wooden structures available, or go to Home Depot and get some lumber and properly sink the posts into the ground with concrete - as I will be doing tomorrow! Save your money, do it the right way and buy some lumber! ... show more

  • Hmmmm, did not live up to description
Color: Green
Sadly, this seems to have been a waste of money. I’ve heard you get what you pay for however many of the reviews I read led me to believe this would be a worthwhile investment. Well, it’s blown over twice now & currently is quite damaged. Assembing it alone was a bit of a challenge, but doable. I’d definitely recommend having help. In terms of sturdiness, I think I’ve already implied that it’s quite lightweight, the skeleton is flimsy & for me, the covering never fit quite right. I’d upgrade to something more durable. ... show more

  • Nice.
Color: Green
Cons: - Windows tear easily and do not allow good ventilation causing hi humidity. - The seems on the Velcro could use some reinforcement as mine began to rip over time from wind damage. Pros: - I’ve had mine for over 3 years. It has been blown through the yard twice (didn’t have it staked) been through a cat2 hurricane, it has stood in 2ft flood waters for over 2 weeks, taken direct sun light and wind for over 3 years straight with no issues with durability. The cons I mentioned were more so related to normal wear and tear. Overall I would definitely recommend buying this. ... show more

  • Very Thin Material
Color: Green
HAd a similar unit over the past years that held up great, providing adequate plant protection until a wind storm took it for an extended trip thru the air into the woods. This unit's frame is better but the cover material is very thin, I will be surprised if it holds up for one winter. Would not recommend. ... show more
