  • Try this if pump doesn’t work…
Unscrew the pump from tank, take a bowl of water and place the motor in it that it is dipped fully, turn on the motor (can be dipped in the tank as well I guess). Screw it back without making it empty, it just needs a little suction to keep working.

SUPER SIMPLE!! The fish loves it and so do the kids. It’s easy to put together and easy to clean. Adds a great touch to the wall.

I love it and it’s so cute and just the right size I put it up in my hallway and added my fish to the tank and it looks so cool and cute I get a lot of compliments on it and it works great

I love how it looks, and the size is perfect, no too big or too small.

  • Pump does not work.
I had to improvise. Throw the pump out and go with a live plant. Will integrate activated charcoal and baking soda monthly with water changes. Otherwise, good idea but poor execution.

  • With a little maintenance, this has some bang for the buck!
The media could not be loaded. Don't know if you can get a replacement pumps for these as I see many people having issues. I've had mine for 3 months now and, only because I like to keep things working instead of wading through shipping and red tape to replace things- here's some pump maintenance instructions that I came up with since it didn't come with any care instructions: 1•The little clear plastic Phillip head screws with plastic nuts are easy to disassemble, usually with a small Phillip head and a pair of needle nose pliers. The USB cord comes out of tank back with a bit of coaxing through the hanging hole. 2•Once you have the pump assembly off the tank, (*gently* but firmly), pull the outflow pipe off the side. The pump body should come out of the overflow body. 3•At this step, there's 4 tiny Philip screws on the (bottom)intake plate with the intake pipe. Once you have those out and the intake plate removed, you can access the pump impeller. *Mine got hung up on some plant fiber gunk and had to be cleaned out. It started working after that. Been working ever since.* NOTE: These new pumps with plastic/rubber impellers are hard to kill, but easy to gum up.. It's basically an electro magnet with the impeller as the soft core. A little tinkering and a way to not lose the hardware(screws), and you can get most of them working again either by removing the obstruction or soaking the unit overnight in vinegar or CLR to remove hard water deposits(rinse with very hot water after a descaling to protect your fishies!) 4•Reassemble with the steps in reverse. Hope this helps! A replacement unit would probably do the same thing, I really wish the intake pipe had smaller perforations so it didn't suck up chunky crap that stops the impeller. Been thinking about clear rubber bands to hold on a wrap of white angel hair filter material, but haven't tried it yet. The best in the meantime would be to avoid anything free floating that can get sucked into it during operation. ... show more
