Has someone who has multiple tool boxes in several locations, I sort of like to keep them consistent so I know exactly what drawer to open and where to find the same tool. After many years of having mixed matched socket holders I finally went with about two dozen of these 80 piece portable socket holders. I can't say these are any better or worse than what I removed but they do have some good qualities. First of all the plastic holders grab the sockets just with enough Force to keep them in place but not enough to make you struggle to remove them especially if you have greasy fingers. The one thing I did do is because most of these will not be needed outside of the tool box itself, I removed the carry handle. About 1 year in and I have no regrets buying as many as I did.

My favorite socket organizer out of all the options out there. I have like eight of these things. The plastic clips do occasionally break, but it comes with several so there are extras for this.

It is indeed serving its purpose. I got it for the center of my top drawer, between metric and SAE socket rails. It holds special and misc sockets. For the low $17 paid, it was worth it. It could be better, but I do think it is an improvement over the single metal socket rails that twist and bend, and the clips often fall off of. Time will tell, but I don't have a lot of faith in the plastic rails and clips. While I like that each clip uses a ball/spring like a ratchet, I don't like that some clips won't easily release the socket popped onto it, causing me to force it more than I would like. I expect when one clip does fail, that will be why. Hopefully when it fails just the single clips breaks, and not the rail it is mounted to. 4 stars for now as it is useful, and doing what I intended. As it ages, gets exposed to various temp/humidity changes, and gets used, I will update as long as Amazon will allow it....

I bought three of these from different sellers so I could get three different clip colors, one for SAE, one for metric, one for other, adapters, and short extensions. They are all the same likely made in the same factory. I have no idea why they do not make these with all 3/8", or all 1/2", or all 1/4", or why they do not seem to sell bags of replacement clips. I bought three one for my SAE, one for my metric, and one for everything else, including short extensions, Allen keys, screwdriver bits, hex bits, socket adapters, etc. The set comes with too many 1/2" and too few 3/8" for most homeowners. However, the tray is very durable, and unless you have huge sets of sockets, you will be unlikely to overfill these as I have. I hang mine from a pegboard, which is nice and gave me more drawer space for other things. The clips hold the parts snugly even when hanging on the pegboard. The product is durable. Recommend!

Very durable. I have about twenty pounds of sockets on one board. They hold up great. I bought the same at the blue box store and it was $29.99. This is the same product basically but you get two socket holders. For half that price of one. This is a great deal.

Just received mine today, and right out of the box I checked any clips for damage. Only one clip had a sign of plastic fatigue (see photo), others were in good shape. 1. Sturdiness: Yeah, these clips won't last long. Especially the ones that hold longer socket. Just fitting the sockets and sliding these on their rails, you can tell (hear, feel) that they can snap easily if you are too rough putting on sockets or removing them. Wish the mfr still offered replacement clips. 2. Fitment: I had no problems getting any of my sockets onto the clips, except for ONE of the 1/4" ones. The bearing didn't want to depress, so it was a pain to get in, and I nearly snapped the thing off getting the socket off. Unfortunately, I needed all the 1/4" so the socket is back on. 3. Size assortment: *For me*, there were too many 1/2" and not nearly enough 3/8" or 1/4". I do a lot of work on my motorcycle, so I don't maintain a lot of 1/2" sockets but I have plenty of the others. Reading the product description told me what I needed to know prior to ordering, so I knew what I was getting in to, and this was the best balance between cost and assortment for me.
