Out of the gate, the rope worked well - but if you have some strong people on the rope I recommend gloves. Almost everyone got rope burn. The people using the rope got a little excited and we ended up with more than 8 people pulling from either direction, and the rope snapped. That's pretty disappointing but I don't remember what the rope is rated for.

I am a gym teacher and needed a quick fix for my tug of war rope. I had purchased this one for one time use just because the other one was fraying. It worked great but as the day went on for field day the rope did seem to have space in between the spirals. This lead the volunteers to tell me that the kids were sticking their fingers in it and if the fingers were in the spaces then they would get smashed if the kids pulled it so that was something to watch out for. Otherwise we had ages 5-13 use the rope with no breaking and it held up.
