Excited that it brought back childhood memories but is a 1980’s toy in 2024 so my nephews were not impressed. Worked fine, includes a battery, very slow speech. Hopefully they figured out the different modes.

It is what it is, and helps kids with spelling and reading. I liked the voice on mine (1980s) way better, but the sound effects are pretty much the same. It is durable, easy to carry and use, and I wish they offered the "Speak and Math," too.

Had this toy as a kid myself. Decided it would be fun to have for my son. He had autism with speech impairment. So I love adding in therapy toys. He's having fun with this one!

I read several reviews and thought that getting one that functions properly would be a gamble. However, it looked so cute and my son would love it if it works as advertised, so I decided to roll the dice on this and I purchased it. That was the wrong decision. None of the buttons work. It worked good at first but now the sound is scratchy.. the screen dims like it has low batteries with fresh batteries in it. Just not built like it use to be.
