I have two dogs, one 70 pounds and one 160, they both fit comfortably inside with the insulated inserts. I like the that top opens up, they were very easy to put together with two people. Took about an hour total to build, just make sure you have a drill for the screws. Very sturdy and good quality

I put this together solo and it took me 3.5 hrs-the parts were clearly marked and the instructions were mostly clear-there were a couple that were not. It did arrive in 2 separate shipments-if you are doing solo-i would recommend to put it together where you are planning it to sit it. And heads up-the roof pieces are covered in these black beads and when you unpack it-it's messy! It seems to be pretty sturdy but as i don't have the dog yet I can't attest to how well it holds up or being waterproof as mine is sitting under a covered deck. ... show more

We needed something for our new member of our family and was tempted to buy the building materials and put one together myself. I came across this dog house and thought, why not give it a try. The building materials are very sturdy and went together with ease. All total it took my two sons and I 40 minutes to unpack and put together. The front flaps didn't last long though. My puppy decided to use them as chew toys and they are no more. She loves to hop inside and get away from it all. ... show more

This dog house was pretty easy to assemble according to my husband (I would've had a harder time with it). The bottom panel has open, narrow slots-- probably to allow ventilation? The 4 legs keep the house off from the ground. The exterior wood doesn't seem to be stained or coated with a clear coat so might do that next summer. It's nice that the roof is slanted to allow rain run-off. No sure about the door panel consisting of separate vertical, plastic panels instead of a solid panel. The only issue is that my heeler doesn't want to use it even though I've put a nice blanket inside of it. She still chooses to sit outside of it in the rain, snow, and mud. She didn't like the big Dogaloo either. Was the cost plus hefty shipping fee worth it? Not sure. ... show more

went to move it from just inside the shop door to just ouside and the teeny little screws pulled out of the roof. doesn't give me confidence that it can withstand any weather floor is flimsy, has big gaps and rattles, so my dog is a little freaked out. i'll put down some camper weatherstrip on the rails and see if that seats them more solidly and throw down a bit a of carpet to help keep the breeze out. doorway is arched, curtains aren't so you have to hang them low to get them to hang to floor ... show more

This is a nice looking bad built house. It broke putting it together. The screws that hold the roof didn't hold and came off the wood the first time I opened it. The wood is is very thin and the dogs chew through it immediately. I was trying to get an alternative to the igloo houses, but this is not it. ... show more
