I have two of these stands. I have a 1996 Evinrude 30hp and a 1992 Evinrude 9.9hp. Both stands hold up just fine, but the 30 is quite a bit heavier (still under what this stand is rated for) and it wobbles a bit when being moved around. The bolts and hardware are cheap but work. I'll eventually replaced the bolts for higher grade when they aren't in use. I did have to add a 1" wide board on the part where the outboards clamp onto (mainly to give it the strength I felt comfortable with. Overall good for the value. Not meant for shop use.

Broke almost right away, I ended up building my own. Oh and the one I built is nice and sturdy and is way better then this junk. Didn't even bother to deal with Amazon on the issue cause they never seem to fix any situation that comes up with an order. I just don't order from Amazon no longer. Pretty sad when they can sell complete junk and get away with it, while making tons of money.

First off it came without instruction. That should never happen for customer safety. After looking at the picture I was able to assemble it. I have an 18 horse long shaft motor and it held it well, but the mounting plate seemed a little flimsy. I added a 1” piece of wood to it to add extra support. After that it works great. It is sturdy enough and I can move my outboard around easily. I would definitely buy another if needed for the price. Just add a 1”x4”x16.5” cut of wood to the mounting plate and you are good to go.

I like that it is a simple design, is balanced, holds plenty of outboard motor weight, and doesn’t take up much room in my shop. It also has a nice plate to clamp the motor onto. Well done.

Bought for a smaller Mercury 9.9 motor so I wanted something inexpensive to store my motor in an enclosed area. Item came without any instructions, so I had to look it up on Amazon to see how it was to be assembled. That was the initial big frustration. Painting on the item was barely enough to cover the metal, splotchy and uneven. You get what you pay for, and this is cheap and thus cheaply made.
