I have several safes. This would be good for a younger person to keep valuables but it is a bit thin on the metal. It will keep things secure if it is fastened to a wall or table and there are mounting holes. Personal opinion it is a-bit over-priced but not to bad

It's pocket sized for sure, can hold in one hand. Weighs about 10 lbs maybe.. You can open the safe two ways, comes with a key or by combination.It has two holes on the back and on the bottom so that you can secure it to either a wall or a desk / floor. It is very easy to set a combination or to reset one. Instructions are easy to follow and it gets the job done. I love the color teal but not for a safe, it is definitely an eye-catcher which kind of defeats the purpose. And the holes kind of defeat the waterproof ness unless you secure it and clog the other two holes. It does take four AA batteries, and in the battery holder you will find the reset button for the passcode. I believe you have to press the red button and a at the same time before you can reset your code.

Just what I truly needed for a few small family heirlooms. I love that I can pick a 3-8 digit code, but also that I've got a key in case of emergencies! Safe is very well made, solid... but not super heavy. And it can take a beating for sure..... while moving it was piled on and shuffled about. Didn't even see a minor scratch on it! I was a but surprised that it didn't come with the 4 AA batteries needed but NOT a big deal breaker at all! It's nice to see that some things still take batteries anyway!

This is a perfect starter safe or even a smaller safe for yourself. It's very easy to use and does come with instructions that are easy to follow. To set your code is very simple and in case you have issues accessing your passcode there is an emergency key that can be used. I use my safe just for some important documents and backup cash and this works great for that. Quality of the safe is good, I don't know if I would say store a gun in this specific case, I just feel if someone wanted to this could possibly be broken open. But that's just an opinion. Overall, decent cost for a decent safe.

Purchased this safe specifically for storing important documents and it works decently well at doing so. Smaller items such as social security cards fit perfectly but you will need to fold larger items such as a birth certificate in order for them to fit. Safe comes with two keys and is very easy to program thanks to the instructions that are included. The safe itself seems relatively secure, with a thick door and fireproof housing. However, there are a couple of flaws that you should take into consideration. 1. Pre-drilled holes (Intended for mounting) are located on both the bottom and the rear of the safe. That's great if you want to mount it as you have options but if you choose not to, there are four holes that someone could peak into to see what's inside. 2. The handle of the locking mechanism and the key-hole cover are both constructed of plastic which, in my opinion, seems relatively easy to break. When you're storing something important I feel like metal is the only material that should be used. AA Batteries are also not included with the safe just FYI and you will need 4.
