  • Fashionable and provides fascinating health and fitness insights
Style: Heritage Color: Silver Size: 13
I was really hesitant to purchase this product, mainly because of the high price point and the subscription based mobile app. While I do understand people's hesitation with the subscription model, I feel like the ring has helped me a lot in the short time I've had it. It seems to be surprisingly accurate in it's sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring and fitness tracking and I often compare it against my apple watch to see if it compiles similar data. When it comes to sleep, the Oura ring has helped me to develop routines that make for a good night's sleep and gives me valuable insight into my quality of sleep as well. I don't like wearing my apple watch to bed, nor while I am lounging around the house so the ring has been great to help me keep track of things like my steps, calories burned etc. and offers reminders to stand up and move around. The biggest drawback to this product for me has been the size, I have the largest size and it is slightly too small for me. I am a larger guy and the size 13 would fit better if it was ever so slightly larger but most of the time it isn't a problem... except for when I sleep. My fingers swell a little bit at night time, which leads to me waking up from discomfort cause by the Oura ring and I find myself switching it back and fourth between my index and ring finger throughout the night. I did wear the sizer for a full 24 hours as recommended but the actual ring feels very different from the 3D printed sizers. I am making it work due to the fantastic data it collects. Overall, I highly recommend this product! ... show more

  • Amazing!
I love this ring! I purchased a few other knock off, cheap brands to save money but ultimately returned them because the tracking was completely off. This ring does everything. It accurately tracks my sleep (can also detect sleep apnea), oxygen levels, steps, knows when I take a nap, when I truly go to bed, when I do housework, measures my stress levels, heart rate, and after a month, it calibrates your overall heart health score, chronotype, and resiliency. It also picks up when you are sick. I felt horrible one day and it picked up that my body was fighting something. That blew me away. It charges quickly (about an hour for full charge) and I think I can go 3 or 4 days on a charge. The app isn’t free but it tracks so much with accuracy that it’s worth the money. I paid for the year which was $69 but you could do monthly for around $5. This ring really is worth the investment if health tracking is import to you. I highly recommend and so glad I finally broke down and purchased. Don’t waste your money on other brands- they either don’t work or stop working after about few weeks. ... show more

  • Was great for 100 days
I have a watch that I use to track many things during the day, and it does well with those things, but for tracking sleep, it wasn't very accurate. I developed curiosity to see what is happening with my sleep, so I bought this Oura ring. For the first 100 days, I would have rated it five stars. But, the ring became flaky, and it's data is now far too flakey. Now is give it maybe two stars, at best. But, their customer service people are pretty decent to work with. They just haven't been able to figure out what's gone wrong with my ring. It's now highly unreliable with sleep tracking. And now going through the rest of what it claims, has been... interesting. Before I explain, let me state clearly that I don't expect the ring and watch to match one another. But of one says my heart rate is at 50, while the other says it's at 150, and I manually check and it's at 57, one of those two is wildly wrong. HRV, I don't expect those to match. The watch has shown it as being 73 - 194ms, the entire day, with one instance of it dropping to 67. The Oura ring, otoh, has shown it in a range of below 20, up to about 40, with a couple of spikes up to about 60, all of it averaging out to 26ms. It's not that they differ from one another, it's that they differ radically. The Oura ring used to tell me that my cardio age was about 22 years younger than my physical age. Then I'm a matter of one night, it decided that my cardio age is only a couple of years younger than my physical age. So, supposedly, my cardiovascular system aged 20 years in one night, and remains stuck at that. But what about other signs of cardiovascular aging? No, it still puts my resting heart rate as down around 50, and my VO2max at 33 to 34. I won't go into all of the details, but there's been radical change in what the Oura ring reports. And the biggest issue for me is that it no longer performed well with sleep tracking. I can't just go out and buy a new one. And I don't know if the ring has developed an actual physical problem, or if a software update at some point started throwing everything way off. But, it's pretty much useless to me at this point. It was awesome for the first hundred or so days. But that's way too much money for something that performs well for 100 or so days, and then just goes off the rails. No, I can't use the watch for sleep tracking. It now outperforms the ring, in terms of determining when I'm asleep or awake, but it doesn't do so well with distinguishing which type of sleep. But keep in mind, I didn't buy the watch for tracking sleep. Whereas I bought the Oura ring specifically for tracking sleep. And I've got to say, for that first hundred or so days, I was amazed by how well the Oura ring performed with tracking my sleep. There *are* some aspects of the ring that are still functioning, so I haven't removed it yet. But for the function I bought it for, it's now useless. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality and Performance
Style: Heritage Color: Black Size: 11
I've been using this smart ring for a few days, and I'm very happy with it. It's comfortable to wear, easy to set up, and tracks my sleep and daily activity accurately. The battery lasts several days, and the design looks sleek and stylish. Great value for the price. I definitely recommend it!

  • Garmin Watch Use is Very Disappointed
Style: Heritage Color: Silver Size: 9
I ordered my ring on the Oura website two weeks prior to ordering it on Amazon. They say the wait on the website is three+ weeks, which is outrageous, when you can order it on Amazon and get it within a few days. Oura took everybody's money who ordered it on their website and put it towards to stocking Amazon orders, so this is a major major customer consideration issue. I have a Garmin Forerunner 245 and learned that my watch does everything that the ring does and all the metrics were identical aside from the temperature tracking. This temperature tracking is the main reason I got this so that I wouldn't have to take my actual temperature with a thermometer each morning for my BBT tracking. After using the ring I learned that the app only gives you +/- metrics instead of giving me my actual temperature. The only way to receive your actual temperature is by also paying for a subscription to Natural Cycles. I found paying for two subscriptions was outrageous... and I was fed up with this, the wait that Oura made me experience, and the constant no communication from Oura when I asked where my products were so I returned my ring. I am highly disappointed in this whole situation because I love the idea of the ring but the usability for tracking your Basal Body Temperature like the market does NOT live up to what they say. Highly disappointed and sad that Oura is prioritizing money. Also if you didn't know, the Oura Generation 3 is the only one you have to pay for a subscription with, the Oura Generation 2 and below you didn't. So they only recently instated their subscription model and I hope they get of it, if they get rid of it I am happy to get this ring again because I loved wearing it and how it looked. Oura please stop prioritizing money or a happy customer base. ... show more

  • Seems Accurate
I’ve been wearing my Oura ring every day and night for a little over 3 months and it seems very accurate. I’m usually skeptical of wearable monitoring devices, but often try them nonetheless, so I use several different ones, along with non-wearable, more accurate monitors to compare reliability. The Oura seems to be spot on with my sleep, stress, and activity. It’s always detected my naps and routine “workout” activities (I created a label for my strenuous every day activities). Those are really the only stats I look at. Battery life is pretty good (mine usually needs charging nearly every 3-4 days). It’s very stylish and comfortable. I like the pulse ox and heart monitors as well. It works very well with the Apple Health app and integrates seamlessly. The Oura App is also very well designed and functions perfectly. I have not been very careful with my ring—I‘ve dropped it twice on a hard tile floor and I also wear it while working with power tools and while doing light construction/carpentry/craft work and it has held up exceptionally well. I also have worn it while washing my hands, but take it off during bathing/showering. When I first purchased it, I wore a silicone ring over it for protection, but it was too bulky. Overall, I am very happy with this tracker and would definitely recommend it. I love the sleep tracking with my Apple Watch, but sadly, it needs to be on the charging dock at night, so that feature is pretty useless for me. The Oura, however, is perfect. ... show more

  • Health stats just a click away!
****See below for long review on ring color, battery life and Natural cycles. ***** I have never been so aware of my health before. I recently got Covid-19. 2 days prior to any symptoms, my Oura app picked up on a change in my usual vitals. At the time I had no idea why because I felt fine. Well, the ring knew I was getting sick before I started to actually feel it. I was able to prepare before by taking it easy. I decided to stockpile some airborne, a neti pot, soup and medicine before I was in bed feeling like crap. For the record the ring did not diagnose me! However, through my resting heart rate being unusually elevated and temperature it notified me by asking if anything had changed. I got tested 3 days after symptoms started to kick in and sure enough I had covid. This ring has helped me to take my health and rest so much more seriously. Battery life: I usually recharge every 4 days while I shower and get ready. It takes about 30 min- 1 hour to completely charge depending on how low the charge is. I’ve only ever let it completely die once. Color: I have mixed feeling about the color. It’s got more of a stainless steel /krome/mirrory look than silver. Silver tends to be lighter or brighter that stainless steel. It’s gotten a ton of scratches as with any piece of hand jewelry. I think the scratches add character and don’t mind them at all. The scratches and wear have not changed the color of my ring at all which is something I’ve seen in other reviews for the black and gold varieties. If I had the money to splurge I would get one in every color. Natural cycles: I have a subscription with NC. You do have to go in at least 1x week to sync all the basal body temps. At first I thought I would forget to do this. Once I started to look at all my statistics, I was so into it, that it became second nature to just look in the app. I love seeing notifications from my Oura app and my Natural cycles app. It keeps me off instagram. Cheaper version from TikTok: I got the TikTok ring to compare and honestly the Oura app has so much more to offer in comparison. The Oura app is user friendly and intuitive. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I feel like I am doing something to make myself better both physically and mentally. I feel like I’ve taken it to another level on self love. ... show more
