I’m a former Apple Watch user and hated wearing the watch as I prefer a more traditional watch. Apple Watch battery life always caused me to miss sleep patterns and it always needed charging in 24 hours. It’s not for me and I also didn’t like working out with a watch on. I ended up rarely wearing the watch After fitting for the ring I went with the stealth black. The battery life has been great and so far I’m getting 7 days. It accurately tracks heart rate and sleep, which were my biggest needs but I love that I can wear it for a week straight without charging. It’s tracks way more like recovery, sleep cycles and vo2 and frankly I’m getting way more out of the ring than I expected. I also wear it when I workout including weights and it’s been unnoticeable to me unlike the Apple Watch. I love the simplicity of a ring and I’m a full convert. As for the monthly fee that some people seem to be mad about, I’m sure there are apps fees most of us are paying for other things but this fee is cheap for what it is. It’s your health after all and it’s worth it. They are also constantly improving the app and older versions of the ring work with these updates. I’m more than happy paying this fee as it’s going to improvements in health metrics (and I’m sure some profits) but it’s worth it to me because the app is very insightful and beyond my expectations. Durabilty also seems great. I’ve showered with it and worked out with barbell right on it and so far there are no scratches As for things I wish it had - The charger is meant for the ring size you buy so you are very limited in charging if you don’t have it. If you lose it you got problems. It’s not ideal but i also don’t know what could be done here There is no portable charger and it feels like a big need. I wish it had an AirPod like charging case for travel. I travel for 2-3 weeks at a time and sure wish I had a portable charger I could get a couple recharges from. So much easier and more comfortable than a bulky smart watch. Well worth the investment in monitoring my health, especially my sleep patterns. It even monitors blood/oxygen, can detect sleep disruptions from coughing and snoring. I also like the coaching recommendations during my daily activities.

Purchased the ring in Jan, on November the ring experiences connectivity issues. It can no longer maintain a bluetooth connection and has lost a months worth of tracking data making the function of the device useless. This falls just shy of the 1 year warranty, customer support has requested a replacement so we'll see if its any better. For the price of this device plus the subscription complete defects of this caliber are unacceptable. I've enjoyed the product for the majority of the year, however now it's a paper weight. Update: Oura ring customer rep has reached back saying my warranty is expired. Despite being 11/12 months into the warranty. Looking on reddit forums shows many other customers experiencing faults with their items. DO NOT RECOMMEND! ... show more

Oura is just what I’ve been looking for in a fitness device—and a lot more. Have been frustrated with previous fitness bands, not very accurate, tiny screens, and need to remove whenever around water. I wasn’t looking for a device that beeps, buzzes, notifies me of calls, emails, etc. Just wanted a reliable , easy to use accurate one. Oura provides tons of data, including basic vitals, steps, detailed sleep analysis , stress levels, and lots of suggestions on how to improve health. It’s waterproof, so I never have to take it off to shower or do dishes. It’s comfortable to wear, and all the data is only available to view on your cell phone, where it’s easy to read. I haven’t yet tried all the great features, including calorie counting. So much to see and learn. I have to charge it about every 4-5 days, not a week as advertised. Charging is fast and easy. Its a really impressive little device. I was sold when my uncle told me his predicted him getting sick accurately a few times, and I personally wanted to observe my sleep patterns more closely. It works amazingly to deliver you real metrics for how much time you spend getting quality rest based on your body's biometrics. I just wish it was more durable. I work a desk job, this was delivered to me the on 11/26 and this is being written on 12/1. Stealth finish. You can wear it in the shower or doing anything else though. I've owned this Oura ring for about 9 months. The app has interesting features, particularly around sleep quality and I've enjoyed using it. Some of the messages it surfaces are cryptic, but it did alert me to changes that indicated I was getting sick and in that sense knew that I had COVID before I did. I've found it to have decent durability given how much it gets banged around and submerged, etc. My biggest issue is battery life - after only 9 months battery life is about 23 hours, which is really annoying from a charging perspective if you're busy and using it to track sleep, too. ... show more
