The media could not be loaded. I purchased a brand new Oura Ring Gen 4, but what arrived was clearly a previously used ring. The ring was wedged onto the charger, and I couldn’t even remove it to try it on for size. It also has a large visible scratch, the charger appears damaged, and the packaging had clearly been opened and reused. Even the charging cable was already uncoiled with no fasteners, which strongly suggests the product had already been handled or used. I paid full price for a new ring, so receiving something in this condition was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, I’m a long-time Oura customer. I started with Gen 2, upgraded to Gen 3, and recently purchased Gen 4 (I also have the lifetime membership). My Gen 3 battery died, which is a known issue, so this upgrade was already something I hadn’t planned to do yet. Because Gen 4 sizing isn’t consistent with Gen 3, I already had to drive to return one ring. Now I’ve been sent what appears to be a used ring being passed off as new, which means I now have to drive back to return a ring for the second time—something that should never have happened if: 1. The sizing had been consistent 2. The product had been properly inspected before shipping This has been a very disappointing experience, especially for a product positioned as a premium device costing nearly $400. I would strongly recommend checking the condition of the ring and packaging immediately upon delivery to ensure you actually received a new product. For a premium device at this price point, receiving an item that appears previously used is unacceptable. ... show more

I had the RingConn first generation fitness ring, and it was pretty good for the most part. It was an inaccurate in terms of recording steps and calories. it would usually record more than 1000 steps than my Apple Watch or my Garmin watch. I thought about getting the GEN two ring but I saw that they were in a lawsuit with Oura . So I decided to try the fourth generation or a ring and this is my assessment after about two weeks of using it. I find that it’s pretty accurate for recording steps and it does a decent job of recording your sleep at night. The pulse monitor can be iffy sometimes if you have atrial fibrillation or if you have cold hands or if you sleep in a way that moves the ring. However, the reason why I’m giving it four stars instead of five stars is that the ring does not have a great battery life. I have to admit I’m a little disappointed that the ring only gets a little more than two days before you have to charge it again. It’s not a dealbreaker because I can put it on the charger while I’m taking a shower or if I’m not doing something. But the battery life is probably the worst of any of these devices I’ve seen except for maybe the Apple Watch, which isn’t great either. Would I buy it again? I’m not sure, it’s not that much better than the RingConn ring but because RingConn is facing the possibility of being locked out from the US market, I can’t recommend them either. I’ve owned my Oura Ring for about 8 months, and unfortunately I’m pretty disappointed with the overall quality given the price. Recently, the ring started having connection issues, which customer service confirmed were due to a battery problem. To their credit, Oura’s customer service has been excellent — they were responsive and are sending me a replacement ring, which I really appreciate. That said, a ring that costs this much should not be having battery or connection issues in less than a year. This raises serious concerns about the durability and long-term quality of the product. For a premium-priced wearable, I expected much better reliability. I also find the sleep tracking and step tracking to be inconsistent and not very accurate compared to other devices I’ve used. While the concept of the ring is great, the execution doesn’t fully live up to the hype or the cost. Overall, good customer service, but disappointing product quality for the price. ... show more
