I thought scalp scrub was just a thing to make me spend more money on a beauty regime, not an actual thing I needed, still I was intrigued so I bought this to try. Turns out, it's awesome. First, it smells terrific. It's got a great tropical, beachy smell that took me away completely from my tiny apartment in the PNW. Second, it made my scalp feel so clean, I can't believe I went 38 years of my life without it. I've always had a sensitive scalp so I thought I couldn't use a scrub without pain, but it actually felt great! It ends up lathering up in a delicious manner, so you don't have to worry about grit sticking around. In addition, I have a lot of skin allergies, so I'm very used to hair products making me itch like crazy; I had zero itching with this product. I am definitely going to keep buying this. This product was really great, exfoliated well without scratching, and gave a moisturizing feel without being greasy. I tried the travel size because I'd never used this product before and didn't know how well it would perform. I'll be buying the big size now. The scent is great as well--it's strong enough to stay on for a few hours after using it, but it's not so strong that I get a headache. I would describe the smell as musk, vanilla, and a little bit of citrus (orange-y, not lemon-y).
