OtterBox is definitely known for its durability. However, along with being great protection for my phone, it’s surprisingly light compared to some of the other cases I’ve had. After getting my iPhone 13 promax, I got a case, and a magnetic pop socket. The phone is heavy as it is, and with the case and pop socket magnet it was way too heavy! I love the built-in pop socket on this case. It’s a much slimmer profile than what I had before, and it’s much lighter! I also love that it’s easy to change out the pop sockets. Update: So I can only blame myself for trying the black otterbox with the popsocket one more time. I have bought this 3 times and had to return. Each time the popsocket crumbled as soon as I used it. The third time it was on sale so I tried again. (I'm apparently a glutton for punishment). My 3rd one came last night. Seemed okay. This morning, cracks and it's about to crumble like the others. Why oh why does the black Otterbox popsocket crumble every damn time, while other colors don't. I really want this in black, but it's just not going to happen. WTH? Returning for the final time. Wishing I could put a NO STAR rating. I have this Otterbox in a different color. I bought it from Ebay brand new for $14. It's been excellent. I also wanted it in black. Bought it from Amazon on the last prime day for $44. The first day I had it, the popsocket fell apart. I figured it was a fluke and replaced it with another that I just got tonight. Seemed fine, but an hour later and this one is also falling apart! I don't understand! What's up with the black Otterbox? It's not like these are cheap cases. How does the popsocket just crumble after a couple hours out of the box? I give up. ... show more
