Has done amazing. I have dropped it on concrete and tile and it has not damaged my phone. My children have thrown my phone and it survived. This is my second one The only reason I replaced the first was the rubber around the charger had broken Off after two years use

My dad just recently bought his first smart phone ever, an iPhone 14. He is going to be 76 in less than a month and I decided I would purchase an Otterbox defender case for him as an early birthday present. I wanted something that had a good name, reliability and durability. I was sadly disappointed. I had purchased multiple Otterboxes in the past when smart phones were more delicate but as they became more sturdy I shied away from Otterboxes to more economical options. I am so shocked at how these have changed. I really wanted something of good quality for my dad and purchased something more expensive than I would for myself. I spent 50 dollars for something that felt less quality than the 25 dollar one I purchased for myself when i got my new iPhone over a year ago. I felt when I was placing the case on his phone I was going to break it. If this was not a gift I would have returned it. My dad was great with his iPod so I don't think he will have issues dropping or breaking his iPhone but if he were more clumsy I would not hold my breathing that this case would protect his phone. Below is the pro/con list.
