Sturdy
Only con is the top to stencil holder broke off as soon as I opened it. I do not know what sleep mode means in ratings. Case is sturdy. I used the same one on another iPad I had and the one time it fell it saved the screen. It is heavy but I use the stand.

Otter box is the best protection.
I have a 5 year old full sized ipad that I use as a tech in industrial environments. There is not a scratch on it. Otter box is the best.

Otterbox for iPad Pro
Having used otterbox products for years for my iPhones it was a logical choice for my new iPad Pro. I like the removable lid. The pencil holder could be better. The pencil pops out while carrying the iPad. I’m not sure it places the pencil near the charging magnet either. Despite these issues I’m happy with my choice. Other covers allow the pencil to be charged and have attached keyboards but I don’t need those features. This is strictly for loading and reading music charts. ... show more

Sturdy case
Solid, and easy to put together. Just what I expected from Otterbox. I was tired of constantly having to replace the other cheaper iPad cases. I haven’t dropped my iPad..ever 😇 but, if I did, I’d want this as my case.

Well worth the money to protect an expensive gadget
I was unsatisfied with a previously purchased case, as the plastic snaps were outside the rubber part of the case, leading to them popping off too easily, and especially if the case was dropped. The Defender is about 3X the price, but it's a snug fit without adding excessive bulk to the iPad. The snap on top cover was a big bonus, as I travel a lot and I don't have to worry about something in my backpack damaging the screen, and the top cover also includes a snap to hold an Apple Pencil when it's not charging. The only downside, for me, is that it only comes in black. I prefer brighter colors so my phones and tablets are easier to find when I've absentmindedly left it in a nook of a couch or on a messy table. ... show more
