I just bought the DEFENDER SERIES in an effort to finally try out Otterbox. This is for my iPhone XR and due to planned obsolescence, I'm outdated. But, I needed a new case as the old one was falling apart and as a result, these cases came down to the right price point. Normally, I would buy Speck's CandyShell cases, which are great, slim, profile, that have served me well since the old iPhone days. But, finally I can try an Otterbox without spending bank and it gives me an idea of the quality that Otterbox delivers. It is a bit chunky in comparison of my old Speck case, and it is also bit of work to get the iPhone and out of the case, whereas the Speck just drops in. Either way, I tend to just leave the case on, all the time. The covers for the charging port is rather nice feature, as I've had to deal with dust particles getting this the port. However, the way it is made, we'll see how long it will last. It really is a rather impressive build quality. Sure, as a fairly, normal, every day user, it might be overkill. But, when I'm moving stuff around in the shop, it has a tank like quality. Of course, this case might serve someone who works in much more intense environment and that is who it is marketed too. But, again, I wanted to try Otterbox I like that the belt clip can rotate it and be used as a tilt. Also, it serves to cover screen which is probably better people who work in dust prone environments. However, if you were say, a touring musician and you use your iPhone from presets to your Quad Cortex, or whatever app, and yet you need something durable while you're moving around constantly, this case would also be a good idea. Or, as photographer who is doing mostly landscapes, but it's not water proof. Anywhere you just need protection that goes beyond your average case. Anyway, it's just that the price of these cases are normally in the 50 to 60 dollar range. So, the determination of whether it is worth it or not, is up to you and what you do for a living. I bought mine for $25 bucks, plus tax, which for me is good a price range, especially when you consider the Speck CandyShell case is in that price range. Meaning, if it wasn't in this price range, I would've probably gotten the Speck CandyShell. Just saying. Okay, this review went over the top, but the coffee was good this morning. ... show more

Sturdy phone case, non-slip and durable. My phone has fallen a few times with it on. Neither phone or case was damaged. Itโ€™s a bit bulky and didnโ€™t come with instructions on how to put it on the phone. I figured it out by messing with it a bit. The only negative thing I can say is that it is hard to click the buttons as well as open the flap to get the charger in. That is why I am giving it 4 stars. Purchased for a new ipad to protect while using. I feel that the case is sturdy and durable and has yet to disappoint. The issue for me is the weight that the case adds on the ipad ends up being painful. My fingers and wrist start to go numb if you are trying to use this in bed etc. It becomes difficult to prop up as well and the stand on the back does no good on soft surfaces. Other than the weight being an issue when holding, this was a good buy at this point. We have used for a couple of weeks and the ipad is still working and safe. ... show more
