This is the best iPad case I’ve ever owned. As a musician, I need something that protects my iPad but doesn’t obscure the screen when I’m reading sheet music. This is perfect! I also love that it’s magnetic, so when I leave my iPad on a music stand, it doesn’t fall if someone bumps the stand. The magnets are strong enough to hold it even if the stand falls or moves. The folding cover is protective of the screen when the ipad is in my bag. I’m normally an otter box user, but needed something that didn’t cover up the screen like the otter boxes. I've trusted OtterBox Defenders to protect both my iPhones and my iPad Pro's for 8 years now. So far, dropping either when protected with my Defenders, has resulted in no damage to my iPhones or my iPad Pro's. So, OtterBox Defenders do the job I buy them to do. However, the last iPad Pro 13 (M4) Defender I bought several weeks ago on Amazon to protect my new iPad Pro was very difficult to use. It’s got a little kickstand that comes out to hold it up, but it didn't very work well, resulting in my raging frustration over and over trying to make that little kickstand either deploy or retract. This is a poor design. Finally, I took a fall where my iPad Pro crashed to the ground protected by the Defender. My iPad Pro survived but, the Defender did not, and that is to be expected. However, in this case, good riddance. I’ve ordered two more Defenders to replace it. Hopefully I’ll have better luck. UPDATE: The two replacement Defenders I just received do not suffer from the defects of my first one. Tada! Thank you, Otterbox! ... show more

The case is decent but the sliding stand and pencil charging is horrible. The stand jams every time I try to use it, and done so since day one. Magnetic charger for the pencil cannot be used unless you take the backing plate of the case off. You can’t take pictures unless you take the back plate off either as it completely covers the camera. I cannot believe otter box even sells it, I thought there products were throughly tested before they just thrown to the market. If you need a case for your iPAD 13 don’t buy this one it’s not worth it. Since writing this review the slide portion has completely broken, the plastic tab have broken off and the cheap slide stand is no longer usable or functional. This is the absolute worst case I have ever seen from a decent company like otter box. I would not purchase it period. For the cost you may as well just wrap it in bubble wrap and pop-cycle sticks for the stand, that would work longer than this junk has. ... show more

Provides a good bit of protection and securely holds my iPencil. Only downside is that tab that props up the iPad to allow you to read it on a desk slips and you need something else to hold it up. The Apple covers never did this.

Anyone can buy a product and expect it to perform, but what about protecting that investment? If you have an iPad Pro, protecting that investment is highly important and this Otter case is just what the doctor ordered. This one not only offers it that protection you seek, but also has a stand which holds it up and safely displays your iPad while you view it. This is a bit pricey to some, but the key to owning a high end tablet and keeping it protected is impirtantvto its owners. Having that protection with the convenience of having a stand which integrates with it makes it convenient and practical as well. This tablet is worth protecting and having a convenient stand that integrates with it just makes it more desirable. It is up to you. Mine is worthy of this option and so should yours! ... show more

Good: The case is nice aesthetically and provides complete protections. The quality of the materials is also higher end it feels nice in the hands and it fairly light. It does add some thickness but not so much it is annoying or comfortable to hold in the palms.this case is 90% perfect but the 10% made me return the case maybe I’m just OCD but for the price I couldn’t let it go. Bad: The inner material of the flap permanently changes and leaves impressions you cannot clean. The materials literally wears out and changes compared to the rest of the inner surface area your fingers don’t reach. This drove me nuts because the case loos great closed but looks like 2 year old worn out case after like 2 weeks when it’s open and being used. I only work from home and use it at home. I keep lens wipes on hand to clean my hands/texh all the time but this still happened. It also could not hold itself in horizontal portrait mode the kickstand flap caves in and the iPad falls in its face. I’ve been super careful and it still happens on my coffee table. This feels lazy like throw a damn magnet or some lock mechanism, this could cause a crack cause the iPad free falls on its own weight forward. The small flap also gets annoying flopping forward into the screen but that’s more a personal thing I don’t watch out for I think. I considered keeping it for travel since it does protect every corner and I already have it but I can do something like that with a case I like and can get more utility from so I’ll be returning this. I am surprised at the price and that this is from Outterbox, this does not feel like the quality they are known for in the past so I am disappointed. ... show more

The corners, screen area, and back all feel covered, and I can throw my iPad in a bag or on the seat in the truck without stressing. With respect to others who had bad experiences with this case, mine was outstanding! As a Machinist the craftmanship and attention to detail is remarkable! Wow to make something of this size with all the precision is amazing, especially with the properties of plastic and rubber! Of course the protective qualities require strength and recoil absorbing characteristics. Which adds size and weight. I was amazed how light the IPad is and yet it wasn’t easy to maintain control of. So this case is why I’ve always used Defender cases on my iPhones! And if there is a problem, they have the best warranty! No worries Mate! An update! If you are somewhere safe (sofa, etc.) where it’s not likely to drop your iPad, you can easily take the heavy back with stand off and reapply just as quickly! Brilliant! An update, I just found out the case (with stand) can be attached on the front or back side to cover the screen or to hold it up! Amazing folks! ... show more
