With respect to others who had bad experiences with this case, mine was outstanding! As a Machinist the craftmanship and attention to detail is remarkable! Wow to make something of this size with all the precision is amazing, especially with the properties of plastic and rubber! Of course the protective qualities require strength and recoil absorbing characteristics. Which adds size and weight. I was amazed how light the IPad is and yet it wasn’t easy to maintain control of. So this case is why I’ve always used Defender cases on my iPhones! And if there is a problem, they have the best warranty! No worries Mate! An update! If you are somewhere safe (sofa, etc.) where it’s not likely to drop your iPad, you can easily take the heavy back with stand off and reapply just as quickly! Brilliant! This is the best iPad case I’ve ever owned. As a musician, I need something that protects my iPad but doesn’t obscure the screen when I’m reading sheet music. This is perfect! I also love that it’s magnetic, so when I leave my iPad on a music stand, it doesn’t fall if someone bumps the stand. The magnets are strong enough to hold it even if the stand falls or moves. The folding cover is protective of the screen when the ipad is in my bag. I’m normally an otter box user, but needed something that didn’t cover up the screen like the otter boxes. The case is decent but the sliding stand and pencil charging is horrible. The stand jams every time I try to use it, and done so since day one. Magnetic charger for the pencil cannot be used unless you take the backing plate of the case off. You can’t take pictures unless you take the back plate off either as it completely covers the camera. I cannot believe otter box even sells it, I thought there products were throughly tested before they just thrown to the market. If you need a case for your iPAD 13 don’t buy this one it’s not worth it. Since writing this review the slide portion has completely broken, the plastic tab have broken off and the cheap slide stand is no longer usable or functional. This is the absolute worst case I have ever seen from a decent company like otter box. I would not purchase it period. For the cost you may as well just wrap it in bubble wrap and pop-cycle sticks for the stand, that would work longer than this junk has. ... show more

LOVE these cases from Otterbox- Defender Series in particular Have these on each of my devices. Never broke, chipped, or damaged a device while in one. Value- a bit overpriced, but worth it to protect and extend your device’s lifetime. (had them on 4 devices that I can think of over a period of about 6 years) Pen Holder- haven’t personally used this feature yet Feel- nice, leathery feel. Doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy! Design: a bit bulky at first, but it’s a small price to pay for its protection and you get used to it. ... show more

I was excited to try this OtterBox case for my iPad Pro 13-inch, but unfortunately, the quality did not meet my expectations. The built-in screen protector is poorly attached—the adhesive is visible and distracting when using the tablet. On top of that, one of the corners of the case does not stay in place, which makes the overall fit feel insecure. For a brand known for durability and premium protection, this was disappointing. I hope OtterBox improves the design because the idea is great, but the execution falls short. ... show more

Good: The case is nice aesthetically and provides complete protections. The quality of the materials is also higher end it feels nice in the hands and it fairly light. It does add some thickness but not so much it is annoying or comfortable to hold in the palms.this case is 90% perfect but the 10% made me return the case maybe I’m just OCD but for the price I couldn’t let it go. Bad: The inner material of the flap permanently changes and leaves impressions you cannot clean. The materials literally wears out and changes compared to the rest of the inner surface area your fingers don’t reach. This drove me nuts because the case loos great closed but looks like 2 year old worn out case after like 2 weeks when it’s open and being used. I only work from home and use it at home. I keep lens wipes on hand to clean my hands/texh all the time but this still happened. It also could not hold itself in horizontal portrait mode the kickstand flap caves in and the iPad falls in its face. I’ve been super careful and it still happens on my coffee table. This feels lazy like throw a damn magnet or some lock mechanism, this could cause a crack cause the iPad free falls on its own weight forward. The small flap also gets annoying flopping forward into the screen but that’s more a personal thing I don’t watch out for I think. I considered keeping it for travel since it does protect every corner and I already have it but I can do something like that with a case I like and can get more utility from so I’ll be returning this. I am surprised at the price and that this is from Outterbox, this does not feel like the quality they are known for in the past so I am disappointed. ... show more
