This is the best iPad case I’ve ever owned. As a musician, I need something that protects my iPad but doesn’t obscure the screen when I’m reading sheet music. This is perfect! I also love that it’s magnetic, so when I leave my iPad on a music stand, it doesn’t fall if someone bumps the stand. The magnets are strong enough to hold it even if the stand falls or moves. I've trusted OtterBox Defenders to protect both my iPhones and my iPad Pro's for 8 years now. So far, dropping either when protected with my Defenders, has resulted in no damage to my iPhones or my iPad Pro's. So, OtterBox Defenders do the job I buy them to do. However, the last iPad Pro 13 (M4) Defender I bought several weeks ago on Amazon to protect my new iPad Pro was very difficult to use. It’s got a little kickstand that comes out to hold it up, but it didn't very work well, resulting in my raging frustration over and over trying to make that little kickstand either deploy or retract. This is a poor design. Finally, I took a fall where my iPad Pro crashed to the ground protected by the Defender. My iPad Pro survived but, the Defender did not, and that is to be expected. However, in this case, good riddance. I’ve ordered two more Defenders to replace it. Hopefully I’ll have better luck. UPDATE: The two replacement Defenders I just received do not suffer from the defects of my first one. Tada! Thank you, Otterbox! ... show more

What has otterbox done? I have one on my iPad.air 2 that is wonderful. Full screen protect, easy to take front cover and move to back for prompting up. I cannot get the cover off without it sounding liking it breaking, kickstand… well if you can get it open and set, is considerable lower quality and difficult to open or set. This clearly not the Otterbox they used to be! Bring back your quality products from years gone by! ... show more

Worked well for protection but the stand is horrible. It gets stuck and eventually after 5 months it broke. Would be the best case if they fixed the stand to be more sturdy.

Great iPad case. Hard plastic covered with grippy material. Fit was perfect. My first otterbox case is still installed on my original iPad Pro with no problems. Built in screen protector makes it a complete package, nothing else to buy. Expensive but worth every penny.

LOVE these cases from Otterbox- Defender Series in particular Have these on each of my devices. Never broke, chipped, or damaged a device while in one. Value- a bit overpriced, but worth it to protect and extend your device’s lifetime. (had them on 4 devices that I can think of over a period of about 6 years) Pen Holder- haven’t personally used this feature yet Feel- nice, leathery feel. Doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy!
