My kid has tossed the ipad so many times in the last 6 months in the hospital ( my oldest has leukemia and has frequent treatments I have to bring my toddler with) she has put this thing to the test and minus the stand breaking (honestly it was justified and it kept the ipad itself from being broken). This does protect my iPad, very well. It got knocked to the floor, and there was no damage (thankfully). It was pretty easy to install, just follow the directions. I do have a hard time putting the stand, back to the flat position, and I find unplugging to be difficult, too. I usually unplug from the wall, instead.

I have had many Otterbox Defender series cases, and they have all been consistently high quality. This one is no exception. The description says 10th generation only, but it DOES FIT my iPad A16 (11th gen). The only thing I do not particularly care for with this case is the screen cover/stand. It is rather flimsy and seems more cheaply made than the one for my old iPad. I also do not know what the second cutout in the screen protector to the left of the camera is for, it is kind of annoying because it doesn’t seem to serve a purpose. Other than these things, the case itself looks great, fits my iPad A16 perfectly, and is of high quality. I would recommend this case for superior iPad protection!

Super protective and very sturdy, but also weighs more. This item is used on a full-sized iPad which gets carried around a lot and perched on different surfaces. I love that it covers the screen so we don't need a separate screen protector, but still is very sensitive to touch. The corners of the case are prominent and I certainly don't worry about dropping the tablet. There is no way that the tablet can fall out of the case. However, it does make the tablet more bulky and heavier, a trade off for better protection.

The media could not be loaded. Not true Otterbox quality that I am used to. I have had 4 ipads and multiple iphones and have always used Otterbox for all. I bought this hoping it was true Otterbox quality but ANY FOLIO case would be as good or better protection for ipad screen. At least this case protects edges and back of ipad well. Another huge issue is that the front cover has to be aggressively removed because it is so difficult to remove; Be extremely careful removing front cover as it would be so easy to drop ipad in the process! I have never used the easel stand because all reviews state how it breaks so easily; easel does not glide smoothly open and closed as it grabs and gets stuck which is why it breaks. So in order to keep from dropping ipad to remove cover, you will most certainly drop cover! See video of cover removal; itctakes so much strength and grit to do so.
