I bought this case as an Amazon Warehouse Deal (an item that has been returned) for about $15. I had my doubts about whether or not it would fit my iPhone 8 because it’s supposed to fit an iPhone 7 as well. I gather that the two phones aren’t quite the same size. Well, to my delight, this case does indeed fit an 8! Perfectly, actually. The case was fast and easy to put on my phone. It feels sturdy, too. This is my first Otterbox. Until I bought this Otterbox, I had a crappy case on my phone, which was a flimsy, overpriced ($40) clear case I bought from an AT&T store when I purchased the phone. This Otterbox Commuter case is worlds better! To all the doubters out there, this case DOES fit an iphone 8! I have no idea why people think it doesn’t fit, unless they’re trying to make it fit an iPhone 8 Plus. I’m very happy with this purchase. A great deal for $15!

The OtterBox commuter case is a nice protective case for your iPhone 7. The packaging was nice and I was very surprised how inexpensive it was. The case is a two layer case which does come apart and fits snuggly around your phone. It hugs your phone so tightly and that is exactly how I like my cases. It adds a little bit of bulk to your phone but not as much as most really durable cases. I would recommend this case to anyone who has a outside job, someone who drops their phone a lot, or moms who let their children play with their phones. The case looks nice and can be for male or female. I have really enjoyed using this case if I know I'm going to be doing something that might involve me dropping my phone. OutterBox makes great cases and for the price of this one you really can't go wrong. The case has a nice raised bezel over the front screen for front screen protection, it also has a fairly deep cutout for the camera and the flash. The buttons give you a nice satisfying click and the lightening port is covered for protection.

This is my second Commuter case for my iPhones. I had this for my 6 and it was wonderful, so when I upgraded to the 7 it was a no brainer. It fits snugly with easy access to the port and buttons and has saved my phones multiple times, most recently down a entire flight of concrete stairs in my office. Reasonably thin, light and protective, everything you want in a case. One thing to note, I ordered a full screen glass protector (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01MCWHUB4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0) that went on the glass super smooth and was really awesome, until I put it in this case. This case is so snug and grips the sides so tightly it caused the screen protector to release on the sides and bubble up on both sides. With this case you want a screen protector that is slightly smaller than the whole screen so it is not pinched by this case.

I adore Otterbox Commuter cases and have had one on my iphone 5 and iphone 6S. I've never had a screen break even though I've had a few minor drops. I won't buy anything else. This one was for my 11 year old who got her first iphone and it ended up being an iphone 8 due to a buy one, get one free deal. I don't want to say anything negative about this case but this particular one was a little tighter than the other one I bought on Amazon in purple for my older daughter. Although they were both in retail packaging, this one was in a package that said it was for the iphone 7 and was iphone 8 compatible. My daughter is still happy to get it because of the color. The hard plastic on the side of the case where you grip it is a little rough as opposed to slick in the same spot on my Commuter iphone 6S case. Maybe this is to prevent the case from slipping in your hands. I don't know but my daughter didn't care. She loves the case and can access the plug easily even though it's a little snug to open which probably makes it more secure.

Bought purple. Original Otterbox packaging sealed includes original Otterbox directions and info materials and warranty. Purple color is not too bright but exactly as represented in photo. Fits iPhone 8 snugly but perfectly. Slightly textured but not slippery at all. Seems as durable as my old otter box case. Speakers on bottom and those for hearing and speaking on phone, charge port, camera not obstructed and sound clear. Round opening in back showing Apple on back of phone. Hard plastic buttons over original iPhone volume and on/off controls, not the rubber button covers that tear quickly and easily especially on the toggle switch like lifeproof. Has rectangular cut out in rubber inside layer of case and the hard plastic outside opening for toggle switch on left and A. Doesn’t push switch down so your phone gets put on vibrate and doesn’t ring when case removed and put back on your phone and you don’t have to remove case to check to see if it’s set in the position you want B.Can easily view left toggle switch position and adjust per usual with fingernail. Lightning charge cable fits into port and removes easily. The fold back charging port cover is thick silicone/rubber and won’t break off quickly and made exactly like my old Otterbox defense model which lasted the life of the phone. Have had lifeproof Nuud and Fre and another style and all charging port covers were the first thing to break off and frame broke later exactly at one year when out of warranty bc lifeproof no longer has lifetime warranty. This new case was significantly less expensive than buying off Otterbox link. Really happy with my purchase.
