I actually lost a pair of hearing aids that I had purchased through doctor’s office, but thankfully they were quite a few years old anyway. Because I wanted to get a pair quickly, I decided to try this company after reading the reviews online. They were shipped quickly and I was amazed at how well they worked, and also how comfortable they felt....actually a lot better than the $5,000 pair I had. I am sure the technology has gotten better since anyway, but because I didn’t go through a doctor’S office , I wasn’t sure if they would be very good. Well I like them a lot better than my older pair, so I consider it a “blessing” that I lost them now. Another pleasant surprise for me was that because I ordered online, I didn’t think my insurance would cover the portion that they cover when I go through the doctor, but I called, and yes, they were able to be submitted to insurance. That means I will pay a fraction of what I would have paid if I had visited audiologist, making these a winner all around! I also must add that I did have a couple of questions, and the customer service rep was fantastic! So glad I dcid3d to give thes3 a try...it was a winner hands down!

This item was not comfortable for me but I was quite impressed with the consideration afforded me by the Otofonix staff. They made no attempt to convince me that I should not return them ad my payment was promptly refunded. I would recommend this product even though it was not comfortable for me personally.

I just put them in tonight and WOW! I can hear better than I could in years. No strange sounds. Everything sounds like normal hearing!! I feel young again!!!!! I could not believe how small they are. No one will notice you have anything in your ear unless you tell them!!

The best thing about these is obviously the price. But as someone who has been wearing a pair of Phonak $6000 hearing aids for the past 8 years, I can honestly say these are a terrific alternative. I bought two thinking that even if they were just OK they would be a good backup or good for when I want to go outside and be active and could possibly get the expensive ones wet or damaged. They exceeded all my expectations. BUT... you really need to take the time to customize them to your hearing level and ear size. They give you all the tools to do this, but it will take you a few days or weeks to figure out what works for you. I am a relatively small female, and I ended up finding that the open, small ear domes worked best for me and were most comfortable (they come with the medium, closed domes attached). I saw in a lot of other reviews that people complained about the ear domes getting lost in their ears. THIS HAPPENED WITH MY $6000 HEARING AIDS AS WELL (I had to go to urgent care one time to get one removed). You really need to make sure these things are attached well and if they start to get worn or stretched to replace them. I also found that Setting 2 and mid-volume worked well on one ear but a higher volume was needed on the other ear, which was not surprising because I know that my right ear is worse than my left. One other thing: I open the battery compartment every night after I take them out to save batteries. When you close the battery compartment the next day the aids go back to the default setting, so you have to take about 30 seconds to set them to your preferred settings again. And finally, they send a return shipping label with the aids, so they are serious about their money back guarantee. I won't be returning mine; I love them!

I was very pleased with the deliver it came in condition and on time. I have been wearing hearing aids that cost me 3,000 for the pair and after so many years they didn't work anymore. So decided to get these I just put them on for the day and so far they seem even better than the expensive ones. Thank you I can hear again. I have moderate hearing but sometimes I feel tired and tense or the weather is not good and I seem to not hear as well. The 3,000 pair I had did not have a volume on it. This pair I like so if I feel I am not hearing as well I can always raise the volume a little. Also it uses the same batteries I was using for the old ones. Just don't know how long the batteries will work with these. Time will tell.
