Osprey’s Hydraulics LT Reservoirs by Hydrapak are made for light and fast activities where weight and balance are critical. Twin-welded chevron baffles stabilize the water and maintain a flat profile. The streamlined design allows for easy loading into internal hydration sleeves. Thoughtful design makes filling, cleaning and most importantly staying hydrated on the trail easier than ever. All parts are BPA-free, phthalate-free, lead-free, guaranteed. All materials are certified food safe according to FDA and EU regulations.

The past four summers, I've been fighting the hydration packs for my son's backpack. We had been using a platypus bladder and went through lots of mouthpieces because they would start leaking. I ordered a couple different bladders but sent them back because there were issues. I was being cheap. I finally spent money on the Osprey and it was so worth it. No leaks, easy to clean, and easy to fill (I could use the water fill on the refrigerator). I also purchased the mouth piece cover which made my son so happy because he complained it always got dirty when he put his pack down before. Only one thing to consider if you can fit the three liter bladder which is this 2l doesn’t have any hard structure it is all bladderon both sides. The 3l has a hard plastic piece running the length of the bladder which makes it so much easier to fit into the sleeve of your pack.

I purchased this bladder for my day pack, which I'll be using on a 9 day hike, using walking poles. This allows me to take sips of water at will. What’s especially irritating about this design is that the hose coupling is exactly at the point where it gets spontaneously pushed open by the hard plastic of the reservoir. It’s bad enough that they designed it this way, but more importantly shows that Osprey don’t test and revise their products in the field. Osprey were once a premium pack manufacturer and the memory of my first osprey pack made me come back for more one time too often.
