When it comes to hydration reservoirs, CamelBak is the one I always go to as an avid hiker, biker, wilderness backpacker, and camper. They are so strong and well-made, a car can drive over them without causing the reservoir to explode. With that said, I am usually not a fan of their backpacks (I prefer the ones made by Osprey -- and they got a much cooler logo), but for low-weight carry, CamelBak's are decent. CamelBak came out with a new hydration bladder that uses a zipper to close. That is interesting. It has worked well so far, but will it last? Only time will tell! PROS - As always, the hydration pack is extremely sturdy - Lifetime guarantee, and like Osprey's, CamelBak actually handles issues very well - Clear reservoir makes it easier to see water level - Zipper makes it fast and easy to add or dump water - Excellent customer service CONS - No magnetic tube trap to keep tube readily available - Zipper may not last Functionally, CamelBak's hydration bladder almost never disappoint. This is another quality pack from the leader of hydration reservoir makers. Let's hope the zipper will last.

I've been using the old style CamelBak bladders with the twist off cap forever. They are such a hassle to keep from leaking. You have to get the twist on lid seated juuuuust right or the bladder leaks all over the place. So far, this zipper system is much better. I can't say how long the zipper mechanism will last over time, seems like it might be more prone to wear and tear. But for now, it's a much more simple solution that actually works. The bladder has not leaked yet. This style bladder doesn't have the plastic handle like the other ones. Instead, there's a flexible plastic strip with holes in it affixed to the back. You bend the strip between your thumb and finger, and it makes the front of the pouch stick out so you can fill it. This system works pretty good once you get used to it. This style bladder is also more streamlined and easily fits in my small hiking daypack a lot better than the older style.

This is a review of CamelBak Fusion 2L Reservoir with Tru Zip Waterproof Zipper, Clear This is unlike any other bladder I've used. The zipper opening requires a good amount of effort to open which causes me some concern that the pull will break. I like how large the opening. It's easy to fill. But I just have some doubts( that time may alleviate) if it holds up to repeated open and closures.

Camelbak quality that doesn't disappoint. I like everything about this bladder. It's a good size for a day hike, is easy to fill and is durable. How long the zipper will remain watertight remains to be seen. I assume it will last a number of years, but time will tell. That said, it makes filling the bladder easier than the other bladders I have. A bit expensive but you have to pay for quality.

I currently have a Zephyr vest (not the fusion model) and grabbed this reservoir to both check out the fusion tech and to see if it would fit my current Zephyr vest or if I would need to buy a new one. First off it fits!!! So that is a great plus, and I think this may even fit some other brands, but I use only CamelBak so I cannot verify. Second I LOVE the fusion waterproof zipper, it gives much better access to the inside of the reservoir for cleaning and NO leaks!!! The rigid backplate is nice and comfortable and the water tube just works great with no leakage as I have come to expect from CamelBak! Great replacement reservoir for even the existing models of hydration packs!!

Good size bladder, too wide for skinny camelback bags, but great for the backpack style with a hydration pouch. The bladder is so much easier to open than the old style with the big twist of lid. If you have a hydration backpack that you need a new bladder for, look no further!

I've had a camelback backpack with a reservoir for years and have been really happy. I was pleased to see this product available on Amazon. This reservoir is a great upgrade to the one I've been using for years. Having the bite closure on the end of the tube is great and being able to close the end securely is really good too. The zipper closure is really nice. It is much easier than having to twist the plastic lid which always seems to be a challenge. I also like how holding it from the back allows the opening to stay open for adding ice filtering water from a stream. Overall very happy with the "CamelBak Fusion 2L Reservoir with Tru Zip Waterproof Zipper, Clear".
