Fits well in my Vanquest backpack. Insulation on hose does a fair job of keeping water cool. Length of hose is perfect. 3 liters/100 ounces is great amount for long hikes. Quality of bladder seems good, but fragile. But I haven’t had any issues or concerns so far. Handle on bladder makes it easier to fill and handle when installing into backpack sleeve. This is great product, I have used it heavily for at least 3 years as an insulated hydration pack while flying aircraft in hot and dry conditions. It has held up well to wear and tear, and I found that it keeps liquids cool for many hours if you add ice to the bag. The design of this CamelBak is perfect for me. I'm in a wheelchair and attach it using a carabiner clip to my headrest. The shoulder straps on other models get caught on various parts of my chair. My only complaint and the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is, The bag is too small for the bladder. When I fill the bladder with 3 liters, as designed, the bladder won't fit into the bag so I can zip it up. It just needs to be a little bit bigger. ... show more

It’s insulated but not waterproof so putting cold water in the reservoir makes condensation that leaks through the pack and leaves everything soaked. Makes the insulation kind of pointless. Works fine as a regular 3L reservoir
