Osprey products have a well-earned reputation for great products that feature quality innovations that have the end user and the activity they are engaged with in mind. It's a bit on the higher end price point but you can count on it being just what it needs to be and it has nearly everything you need and a few things that you didn't know you wanted. My favorite feature is the clever magnetic connector for the water bottle mouthpiece that sits on top of the vest clip. So easy to rip off and grab a quick drink and easily secure it without needing to take your eyes off the road. It's great that the water bladder is included and has a nicely designed clip. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the sizing. In my opinion, these are sized too small. I understand they are supposed to fit tight, but I also like to breathe when I'm riding my bike. That's kind of the whole point, getting out there and exercising and exerting yourself to earn that beer. I usually wear L/XL shirts, so that is the size that I ordered. It was not as easy to get on as I'd like and with all the adjustments I could make, when it was zipped and clipped, I felt constricted and it wasn't comfortable because of the restricted ability to breathe fully. My wife had similar issues, so I ended up giving it to my adult daughter and it fits her snuggly, but it's not loose. She loved it simply because it was an Osprey product. Aside from the sizing issue, this is an easy recommendation if you are looking for something to carry your phone, wallet, keys, water and more while you are biking or running or hiking. I always read the reviews before buying on Amazon and like you, I appreciate honest, thoughtful reviews that help me make an informed decision. I hope you find this review helpful! It has been amazing. It is lightweight, comfortable, and holds just the right amount of water and small essentials. I really like the magnetic strap for the mouthpiece because it makes drinking on the go super easy. The pack fits snugly and stays in place while I am biking, running, or hiking, and the storage compartments are practical for snacks, keys, or a phone. The water bladder is easy to remove and transfer to other packs, which is really convenient. The only thing to watch is sizing because it runs a little tight. Overall, the quality is excellent, it feels durable, and it makes outdoor activities much easier and more enjoyable.

This is indeed a simple, streamlined, and lightweight task oriented bag, and is on par with any expected high quality bag from Osprey. It fits very securely and won’t bounce around or shift much, and is very suitable for cycling or trail running or even hiking. It sits high on my back right between my shoulder blades and only goes down to just below them. It’s largely mesh and very well ventilated. Tundra green and black is very nice and subtle. It’s good looking. Sizing/harness: There isn’t any shoulder strap length adjustment, but there are adjustments that can be made on the two chest straps and on the sides at the bottom of the shoulder straps to allow for more room. I’m 5-10, 150lbs and the small/medium fits just fine with some room for layers by adjusting the lower straps in conjunction with the chest straps. Females with larger chests may want to consider that when selecting a size - the larger size might be a more versatile choice, thought this is meant to fit tighter by design. The chest strap buckles are magnetic and very reminiscent of a Groove Life belt buckle, which is hands down amazing. Google them if you don’t know what they are - then buy one. Storage: Both shoulders have stretchy zip pockets with large looped zipper pulls, and the right has a stretchy slip in pocket as well. The main compartment has an internal zipped mesh pocket that shares space with the hydration bladder, and an integrated clip to hold water bladder so it can’t pool in the bottom. The diagonal zippered opening makes it very easy to remove and replace the water bladder without a struggle and also naturally routes the hose to right, there there is an opening at the shoulder on the left if you prefer it to that side. The shoulder Strap pockets hold an iPhone 13 Pro in a bulky case and are slightly stretchy so you could also cram a small wallet in with it. There’s a handy loop for glasses between the sternum and lower chest straps on both sides, and an integrated magnetic bite valve holder on the upper chest strap - it’s part of the buckle. There’s also an adjustable bungee on the outside that’s great for any bulky items that don’t fit in the bag. The included 1.5 liter water bladder: Comes with a magnetic clip to attach the bite valve to your chest strap. It does not have an on/off valve closure: though the bite valve isn’t prone to leaking on its own, I sometimes find they will leak when I inadvertently set something on it while it’s in the back of my vehicle. The tube doesn’t include a quick connect / disconnect, through this could easily be added. All in all - very well designed and made, exactly what I expect from Osprey.
