Our dogs love this bed, as long as we keep a soft blanket on it (they’re spoiled). We have one 55ish lb hound mix who’s very senior and has moderate arthritis in her back and rear legs. Our other dog is a 35lb terrier mix who’s young. Both equally like laying on this bed. The egg crate type foam is pretty firm and supportive. With a soft blanket on top it’s very comfy for them. It was a little tricky to put together because of the bolster, but we eventually got it. Keeping a blanket on top of it means I don’t have to wash it as much, so I luckily haven’t taken it apart again. The material does vacuum easily and doesn’t hold hair. The bolster is perfect for my dogs to lay their head on in front of the fireplace. We’ve been using this for about 6 months now and it’s holding its shape well. ... show more

This thing is huge! Our puppy is only 4 1/2 months old right and 65lbs now, so we bought her a bed she can grow into. She is a Giant Malamute, and is expected to get up to 200 lbs. So, this bed is the perfect size for her as she grows. She loves the headrests, and even hubby and I are impressed at how comfortable it is. The only thing I wish it was, was cooling......she is always hot, and she moves around a lot to find a cooler spot to lay on. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this bed. It came vacuum sealed in a tiny box, but once it was out it fluffed up quickly and it was pretty easy to figure out how to lay it all together to get the cover zipped on. ... show more

The bed is a good size but I wish it had been waterproof. My dog is incontinent and often has accidents while sleeping. The bed is a real hassle to wash because you have to take apart every time and then put back together.

If the 7 inches of thickness for this bed 5.5 of that must be the arms. The bottom is about an inch and half of egg crate, that's it. Just the slightest pressure compresses it to an half inch definitely not orthopedic. Chalking this one up to a waste of time and money. Trying to shove it back in box for a return is not worth the effort. ... show more

I have a ten year old dobie with multiple health issues. I've noticed she doesn't like her flat beds (we have beds in various rooms) as much as those that have a ridge like this around the back and side. She likes to rest her head on the ridge.
