I usually use in my small yard treating fire ant mounds as they appear. My problem is neighbors don’t mow and we get their ants after a rain. Doesn’t smell to good and advise using a mask when spreading. Usually go through about 4 bags a year.

Applied product according to label on a small ant mound, then doused with 2 gallons of water. Checked mound a week later by disturbing it. A googolplex (maybe fewer) of ants came raging out. Trying again with 3X the label amount to see if that works. UPDATE: Yes, that worked.
