I have purchased several rugs from Amazon and have been very happy with them all, except this one. There are a few problems with this rug. I will list them in order of what was most important to me. First, the color, it is definitely not ivory, but more of a tan/beige color. Second, it came rolled up so tightly that even after ironing it with a towel over it, I cannot get it to lay completely flat, and there are bends in the rug that appear to be permanent, giving it a slightly "buckled" appearance. Finally, the backing on the rug is slicker than most, and if you are placing it on tile, wood, or other slick surface, you will definitely need to put a pad underneath to keep it from sliding around. Overall, I'm not very happy with this item, particularly the color, since I had hoped for a brighter/lighter true ivory color, as opposed to tan. If I had seen this rug in person, I wouldn't have purchased. I have attached a photo to show the difference in color. ... show more

I had to remove this carpet from my home within hours of removing from packaging. The chemical odors emitted from this area rug gave me asthma symptoms and instant headaches to my entire family! After airing it out for a couple of days, it still smelled so bad that I actually took it to a professional cleaning business to remove the chemical odor. After using 3 different types of cleaning methods including ozone method, they still could not get the horrific odors removed. I promptly returned the item for full refund! ... show more

The rug is much nicer than I expected… Very classy… Looks very expensive and adds a lot of charm to the room I’m using it in… I’m using it over the top of some carpet in a big master bedroom… Looks fabulous I am very very happy with my purchase

I bought this for my bathroom, but it wound up in the kitchen. It goes well with wood tones, and fits perfectly under the sink. I would suggest using non-slip fabric underneath as it can move. It seems very well made.

The quality and color of the rug met our expectations for the most part, but it's not 5 X 8 as advertised. The rug is actually 5' 3" X 7'. We were really wanting the longer rug to go under our dining table. We're mulling over options, but we would certainly like to understand why the rug is not as advertised.
