  • Very good build quality - a lot of fun to build
Building this printer was an absolute delight. It’s not a project to rush—expect to spend many hours if you want to do it right. If assembling things isn’t enjoyable for you, I’d recommend opting for the pre-assembled version instead. The online instructions were spot-on, every part was clearly labeled, and nothing was missing. At first, I was a bit uneasy that so many key components were themselves 3D-printed, but the excellent quality quickly put those worries to rest. I’ve only logged a few hours of printing so far (with PLA and PETG), but the results have been outstanding. It is evident that this product was designed by people that love their work. ... show more

  • Fantastic printer, great company, buy it for life
A great printer. I'm so glad I got this instead of the most popular brand or the many off-brands. Solid construction, great print quality and looks great. It works with anything I throw at it, and the built-in profiles have been mostly great. Not locked into the cloud like some other manufacturers, but still available for convenience. Great support and wonderful community. A fantastic company to support. Right to repair, and upgradable. Assembly was easy, but got monotonous. Was easy to tune and calibrate. I love that I know the system inside and out, and it isn't a mysterious disposable appliance. Only qualm is that the MMU3 (which I don't have) for multi-material printing is a bit expensive and cumbersome, but I do appreciate its conservation of filament. I'm going to wait out for the next material system. ... show more

  • Great Upgrade! Long but fun build!
The kit took a while to build - probably around 25hrs including the time it took to back track and fix a few mistakes along the way. Plus I intentionally went slow and broke it up over a 3-day weekend (clear stopping points in the 9 chapter guide). It wasn’t hard at all, just lots of parts and steps. Actually very satisfying, especially if you like to “tinker”. Building it didn’t provide that sense of “Now I know how this thing works inside and out” that I expected … but only because it’s not really that mechanically complicated … the controller and software is where the real magic happens. But I do feel confident about making tweaks and mods here and there (deciding it was fine to remove a zip tie that kept touching one of the belts … and opting to remove the nylon rivets that hold the top down in order to get easier access to the top of the extruder to clear jams when needed). The CORE One is an upgrade for me from an easy to use Flash Forge Adventurer 3 Lite and a finicky Creality CR-10 S5. This thing is HEAVY but solid and the prints are amazingly good! Speed is unreal compared to my other printers! First print was great, no troubles, no major artifacts on the benchies. A few quirks to learn about but very happy and had fun building it! ... show more

  • Fantastic printer!
The instructions were great, including the comments that helped if things weren't already perfectly clear. Took a while to build, but it was fun! Great printer, and I've had no issues with it. It's handled everything I've thrown at it so far!

  • Great product, very involved assembly.
The product itself is great. It's real high precision and takes most of the work out of printing. It just had a bunch of weird bugbears to sort out. Namely the firmware that came installed was corrupted, so I had to use the copy on the thumb drive to flash the thing with. Also assembly took me 24 hours total over the course of a week because of how....fundamental the assembly gets. People with no technical experience should buy pre assembled. ... show more

  • Great first printer if you enjoy the build process
I have seen a lot of people say to skip the Core One kit and just buy the preassembled printer. If this were my second or third machine I might agree, but as my first printer I am really glad I built the kit. Putting it together forced me to learn how the machine is engineered, which parts do what and how I will service it later. It also gave me ideas for printable upgrades and I am already planning to build the community 5 color add on. I took my time, followed the Prusa manual, and used a YouTube build series as a visual supplement. At a relaxed pace the full build took a little over 10 hours. There were no missing parts, no rework, and everything fit correctly the first time. I kept the parts in their original boxes and only pulled what I needed for each step, which kept the process organized and stress free. You can absolutely build this on your own. Some assemblies are a bit heavy and awkward, but still manageable for one person. I would rate the difficulty as medium. If you just want to hit print and never think about what is going on inside the machine, buy the prebuilt version. But if you are even a little bit of a hobbyist and want to really understand your printer, the Core One kit is absolutely worth your time. ... show more

  • Outstanding Kit – True Prusa Quality and Performance!
I was honestly surprised when I first saw the Prusa Core One kit listed on Amazon — and even happier once it arrived. The parts quality is exceptional: precisely machined, well-labeled, and beautifully packed. Assembly was straightforward with the clear Prusa documentation, and calibration went perfectly on the first try. The printer runs smoothly, extremely quiet, and produces professional-level prints right out of the box. I really appreciate the CoreXY design, sturdy frame, and enclosed build chamber — everything feels solid and engineered with care. If you’re an experienced builder or upgrading from an MK4-series printer, this kit is a joy to build and use. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to anyone serious about precision 3D printing! ... show more
